Far in the mountainside away from the other kingdoms, stood a city, a strong city with a powerful king and a strategic, yet graceful queen. The city was given the name of Ledious. The king, Philostos, and queen, Razziana, were a perfect match, and when it was time for battle they were undefeated because of their advanced battle logic. One night, after celebrating yet another war won, the two royals went into their room and conceived a baby boy named Helbson.

He was a happy little boy when he started to grow. He was very interested with nature and the art of hunting. When he was a young man, he studied hunting, medicine, forging, and music. He forged his first bow and arrows out of silver, but for the design of the bow he molded a swirl into the bow, and replaced the empty space with twigs and vines, so that it wrapped around the bow, giving it an original design. For most of his young life, Helbson merely adapted to the forest near Ledious. He spent most of his time there, hunting game and skinning them for their hide. He was later given the nickname Hunter Helbson for his talented hunting skills. When he wasn't hunting, he made bird houses. When he finished, the birds sang to him with gratitude. He later on attempted to make a small hut for himself in the forest and succeeded. In that hut, he decorated the place with the hide he had skinned.

While out in the middle of the wood one day, he heard grunting coming from a nearby stream and followed the sound. When he caught sight of the stream, he also caught sight of a young woman wrestling a bear. He was amazed by the beauty of the girl and her amazing strength as she battled with the bear. While dazed, he quickly realized that he didn't want to be seen and hid behind a bush, watching carefully. The woman struggled and struggled trying to defeat the bear, but was unlucky each time, but finally, she got the bear in a headlock and used all her strength to choke it. The bear finally stopped clawing at the air and lay still. Helbson sat there in awe, still trying to comprehend what he had just seen. The girl got up off the ground, straightened her tunic while cursing at the torn parts of it, and walked to the stream to wash up. Helbson, still crouched behind the bush, watched her take off her tunic and anoint herself. He once again gazed at her beauty, and admiring the shape of her body. It seemed as if he found the love of his life.

A few days later after the event Helbson had seen, he swore to himself that he must have her, and if he didn't, he will never wed another woman unless it was someone equal to the girl he saw in the wood. But he also promised to himself that he wouldn't be convinced that she was the one right away, he had to get to know her first. He camped in his hut for days, waiting to see if the girl would show up. Waiting and waiting, but no results. Just when he thought that was the one and only time he'd ever see her again, he sees her, playing target practice with the trees. Her calm, determined face interested him. Every thing about her interested him. Finally, he got the courage to come out of the shadows of his hiding and talk to her, and luckily he walked out of his hut just in time to not have an arrow through his head. The arrow flew past his face so quickly it made him jump with surprise. And the girl, seemed to notice that it almost hit him and came jogging toward him shouting, "Oh my, I am so sorry!".

The girl's name was Laila. She was the most beautiful girl in her town, Tedus. She was too, related to royalty. She was the daughter of the king, Levos, and the queen, Maristas. They were both very loving parents and supported Laila her entire life. When she was a toddler, she sat on a bird, thinking it was a cushion, and killed it by accident. This gave the impression to her parents that Laila was to grow up to become a strong fighter, and throughout her young life, her parents encouraged her to run and go hunting every day. Laila found some time to study cooking, archery, and medicine. She also studied more about hunting and taught herself herbology. She had many suitors as well, which she was very flattered by. She did agree to get to know them, and when she did, she didn't enjoy the outcome. To her, they all just wanted her because of what they know her as. She didn't want that. She wanted someone to take the time to get to know her for what she really was on the inside. The constant disappointment eventually stopped one day.
