The next day after school, I was abruptly stopped by a a strong hand wrapping around my wrist. I looked back, smiling at a gasping Luca. He ran to catch up with me?!
"H-hey Ash, can I ask you a q-question?" Luca said.
"Sure," I told him.
"Would you mind coming over and taking some pictures at my house... I need them for a journalism project," He asked me. I quickly nodded.
"What time do you need me?"
"How about 6? We can order and pizza," Luca told me.
"Sounds great, I'll check with my mom and text you, should be fine as long as my dad's not picking me up tonight," I said. He nodded, looking confused.
"See you tonight," he said, waving ad he ran to talk to Madelyn and Cleo before they got on the bus.
Luca's weird request made me wonder if I was really going to his house to take pictures, but I dismissed the thought right away. All I wanted to do is get to know this boy, at any cost.

After being dropped off at home, I entered my house to blaring music and my sister dancing around the house while she cleaned. I hated panic at the disco, mostly because my sister and her friends were obsessed, but they just sucked.
"Meghan, turn down the damn music!" I screamed to her, and she finally obeyed.
"Fine, Mrs. Crabby! What wrong with you?" She asked.
"It's nothing..," I lied.
"It's Luca. God damnit, Ashlynn, get over him! His sister is the slut of the high school!" Meghan says.
"I know, but he seems so kind. I'm going to his house tonight, just to see what he thinks of me," I tell her.
"Your WHAT?! Are you stupid! Why would you do that, Ashlynn, he's just a stupid crush!" Meg tries to tell me. But like all the other times, I wasn't open to listening.
"Whatever," I say, running up the stairs and turning into my room. I plop down onto my twin bed, pulling out my camera from my bag and starting to replace the memory card with a clean one.
"I'm home!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs, making me internally grown. Though I loved my parents, they seem so clingy since the got divorced. They both want my sister and I to pick a side, even though they know we would never.
"Hello Ashlynn, how was your day?" My mother asked, popping her head into the doorway.
"Fine, I have a question," I tell her.
"Okay, what is it?"
"Can I go take pictures. For, uh.. Luca," I asked. My mom sighed, rubbing her temples with her hand.
"Ashlynn, I thought you were over him! He's just a stupid crush, sweetheart," she told my for about the millionth time.
"No mom, he's not! Now can I go or not?!" I said, anger slipping into my voice.
"Fine, but be home by nine, you have school tomorrow!" She told me. As she walked away, a smile spread across my face. I was spending the evening with my crush.

"What toppings do you like on your pizza?" Luca asked, leading me into his cluttered kitchen. His house was very updated, but looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month.
"Um, just pepperoni," I told him. He nodded, quickly ordering our pizza. I spent the time looking around this main level, looking at all the stuff he had lying around.
"Sorry it's a mess, my parents have been slammed at work lately," he said. I nodded, understanding his struggle.
"What are we taking pictures of?" I asked him, breaking the awkward silence.
"Oh, I need a few candid shots of me outside. I'm not very creative with photography..," he told me.
"That's okay, let's go try a few things," I told him, and we made our way to his backyard together. It was a fairly large yard, a bit bigger than mine. The one thing that caught my eye was the beautiful rose bushes cluttered against the house.
"What if we took a few shots against the roses?" I suggested. He nodded, going towards them.
"What should I do?" He asked.
"Um.. Sit down, criss-cross your legs, and look to the side," I told him. He nodded, quickly getting into the pose. Through the lens, I could see how the photo showed off his perfectly sculpted jawline. It was a beautiful shot.
"Okay, got it, now let's take a close up. Do you have a football?" I suggested. Before I knew it, Luca was back, football in hand.
"Okay, now hold it like your going to throw it," I said. He quickly set up, and I stopped him at the perfect time. I got close to his body, taking a sporty shot for a side view.
"Now let's do something simple. Just smile," I told him. He quickly gave me his heart stopping grin, and I made sure to capture him and the tree behind.
Once we were done with the shot, Luca ran inside to catch the pizza delivery man. I was having a great time taking photos, and hoped Luca would be pleased with the results.
"Can I see them?" He asked as I entered the house through the sliding back door.
"Yeah, of course," I tell him. He ran over, looking over my shoulder as I flipped through the photos.
"Wow, the football shot looks so epic!" He exclaims.
"Thank you!" I tell him, smiling.
"Can I show you something?" He asked me.
I nodded, quickly following him up the stairs to what I assumed was his bedroom. I was amazed by the artwork he had plastered on the walls, most of them people. One even had 'Ash' written on it.
"Who's this?" I asked him, pointing to the picture labeled Ash.
"Um, that's you..," he said. "I love to draw, no one had ever been in my room to see all my sketches."
"Wow, they are amazing!" I told him. I was honored to be the first to see his drawing.
