Stephanie crouched down below the window, eavedropping on the residents conversation.

Inside the house, she heard a video playing. "Hey, it's Chris." Stephanie's eyes went wide. What was Chris saying?

"Um... As most of you know, 3 months ago, MatPat, his wife, Stephanie, NateWantsTobattle, and Jason were... Kidnapped. Well, the police have just informed me that they found them, but..." Oh, right. The bodies...

"Jason had been strangled to death." Stephanie held her breath, knowing that that was the only part that was true.

"Nathan Smith died of a stab wound to the abdomen." But then she let her breath out, remembering their plan.

"Stephanie made it the longest, but she was eventually... Beaten to death." She remembered it clearly. The hundreds of bodies at the red room, they had easily been able to find bodies that looked similar to them, and it was even easier to disfigure them so that you couldn't trace them.

"And it appears that Matthew... He...his throat was slit." She remembered reluctantly burning the bodies' faces and fingers, so that the bodies could be mistaken for them.

"You may have seen on the news that the creators and employees of the red room have all been arrested, due to a viewer managing to contact the police. Well, when the police were looking around the red room, that's where they found the... Bodies." She sighed, partly from relief that the police had been fooled, but partly from sadness, because they had taken these people away from their families.

The video went on for a little longer, but then she heard Chris' voice stop talking. This was it. The man she was watching made his way to the window, letting out a sigh. For a second, she wondered if he was going to cry. He really did seem to care. But there was no time for that.

Stephanie reached up and grabbed his hair, pulling him out the window and onto the grass below. He kicked and punched at her, trying to escape.

"Let me go!" He yelled.

Stephanie slapped a hand over his mouth and shushed him. He looked up at his captor.

"Stephanie?! You're alive!?" He sat up, shocked.

She nodded. "Yeah, I am, and so is Nate. After Matt's screen cut out, Nate and I escaped."

"What about Jason?" He asked.

"Unfortunately, he died long before even Nate was kidnapped." Stephanie looked down sadly. They had tried to find and save Jason before they left. They had found him among the bodies.

"I'm so sorry, but I can't believe you two survived!" He whispered happily.

"Nate and I aren't the only things that survived." She said. He looked confused. "The guys at the red room. A few of them are still around. And they have Matt with them. We need them to think that Nate and I are dead, so we'll need someone to help us out. Can you help us?" She asked.

He nodded.

"Then hurry up." She said. "Our car is down the street. Come on." Stephanie ran to the car while her aly ran back to the house to grab a (very plot-convient) bag that he had prepared for emergencies.

He got into the passengers seat beside Stephanie. Nate was sleeping in the backseat.

"Is he okay?" The man asked.

Steph nodded and turned to Nate in the backseat. She tilted her head to the side, deep in thought. She undid her seatbelt and climbed into the backseat.

She rolled up Nate's shirt, causing him to groan with pain. Under his shirt was a large cloth, being used as bandages, now nearly soaked with blood.

She bit her lip. "They need to be changed. Can you drive?" She asked.

"Yeah sure. Oh, and... Try these." He pulled out a set of actual bandages from his bag.

Stephanie took them with a smile. "See, this is why I sought you out." She reached out to Nate's stomach, but he groaned. Steph held back for a second, allowing Nate to open his eyes.

"Nate! You're awake!" She sighed with relief!

He sat up, holding his wound. "What happened? I got stabbed and..."

Stephanie inturupted him. "What's going on is that I'm changing your bandages." Nate snatched the bandages out of her hand.

"I can do it myself." He said.

Stephanie rolled her eyes. "Maybe you should know something..." She took a breath. "We needed them to think we were dead... So..."

"You didn't." He looked to her.

"The bodies were easy to find and disfigure, and the police fell for it." She bit her lip. "And trust me, it was not easy carrying you, especially since you were unconscious."

Nate sighed. "Why do they need to think- Oh. Wait, OH. You mean..."

"Yeah, they got Matt. We're breaking him out." She shrugged. "So get those bandages on. And you." She looked at the driver. "Drive. And fast."

The driver sped down the street, probably speeding, while Steph climbed into the front seat and did up her seatbelt.

"We're heading to Nate's place. There's something we need." She said.

"Got it. Oh, and Hi Nate." He said.

"Oh, hey Mark."
