Story
"Hey Liz, Will you go back to your hometown after vacations...?"Jenny asked me in her angelatic voice. "Who told you that?" I asked her while getting up from the green grass. "I heard mom and dad talking about it......." She answered after a little pause. "I told them not to tell you........."I sighed.
"Hey,Can i have you silver chain now..?" She said while trying to touch the necklace. "You know, its very important to me......I will take it with me..."I mumbled after giving her a glare.
It is very important to me. It was given to me by my first high school crush, Alex Hale. The day I bumped into him was the luckiest day of my life. How he picked me up..? How he gave me a goofy smile...?
I remember it all because it was the only good thing that happened to me after i came to stay with my aunt."Please,you know you won't meet him again.."She knew all about it. Let me give you a short description about it.
Flash Back*
It was my first day at the school. I came to live with my aunt because my parents were working aboard. The town in which I came to live wasn't that big. It only had a high school in it. The first friend I made was Jenny, My cousion. My aunt wasn't that happy of my stay with her but i ignored it.
The first day was just normal, I wasn't a fan of my new school either but it wasn't bad. The best thing happened after the school was over. I bumped into Alex, the school most popular kid. He wasn't like all the other popular guys I had seen.
He was friendly and charming at the same time. After that I continously met him. He also gave me his silver chain which he adored.
From that day forward, I never handed it to anyone. I rarely took it off, It would have been awkward if i Wore it infront of Alex. But thank god he had transferred from the school leaving me with one of his most valuable teasures.
Flash Back Ended*
(After a week)
I was busy packing my things because today was the day I was going back to my parents. Jenny cried a lot but she eventually calm down when i told her that I would send her gift as soon as possible.
Aunt was looking happy about my departure and who cares ?!?
There were no airports in the town soo I had to take a train to the next town where there were airports. Soo, it was a long journey. The place i wanted to visit before my departure was my school.
Maybe just maybe I would get to see Alex there. Summer vacations aren't over yet maybe he's in town to see his family.
There is only a tiny chance of it but everyone can dream can't they? My aunt called a taxi and happily waved me good bye.After having a last look at my school I told the driver to the train station. By now it was dark and only a few people were there waiting for there train.
I sat on a bench alone in a corner. After placing my worn-out suitcase in a secure place, I took a deep breath. I looked at the time, There was another half and hour left before my train came.
I wished I had some company. Suddenly a boy in a black coat came and sat with me on the bench. Who wears a black coat in summer? At first I felt frightened because I could see that he had no luggage with him so clearly he got the job to assasian me for my devious aunt.
I took a deep breath and mumbled. "Hello...."
"Hey, Do you want something?"He asked me in a rude tone. I sighed and spoke..."Yes, Some company..."
"Sorry, But i don't have that..."He said and gave me a glare. His attention diverted to my Silver chain around my neck.
"Hey where did you get that?" He asked me while reaching for the chain. I backed off and hesitately answered him back."I got it as a gift from someone..."
"Can I have a look at it?" He looked serious. "No...." I said, grabbing the chain. "It's just for a sec, I will give it back, I promise..." I didn't know what I was doing but I handed it to him. Yanks...!!!
He exzamined it silently and then gave me a smirk. "The freaking Alex gave it to you..." He mumbled-screamed at me. "Excuse me......Do you know him from school or somewhere...?"I was shocked at his comment. "I am his brother, Ron......." He extended his hand . I shook it in hesitation."What your name?"
"liz...."I answered back while looking at the chain in his hands.
"Why don't I see you at school?" I asked in a suprised tone. "OHHH.......I studied in a boarding school, came here for vacations..."He answered and gave a goofy smile.
"One more question, Why are you wearing a coat?" I pointed towards his back coat. "Summer flu, I get it alot........I was here to pick Alex, His summer camp ended and he was given a month free...."
"Can I keep this chain?"He suddenly asked me. "Noooo..." I snatched it back. "Hey, Come on.......It wasn't Alex's , Its mine....." I was shocked at what he said.
"How do I know your not lying?" I asked him . "Look behind it...." The chain had a small Silver coin attached to it. I looked behind it, There in the center the name 'Ron' was incarved into it. How did I never noticed it....? The carving wasn't visible at first.
"Alex also has one like this chain but he never show's it to anyone. Before going to the boarding school I gave it to Alex because I couldn't take it with me but after i got back I couldn't find it anywhere............He said that he gave it to someone as a joke...." So the chain wasn't really Alex's and I was a part of the joke he played on his brother.
While trying to hide my tears, I took off the chain and handed it to Ron. "Take it and leave me alone.." It was to late. Tears were flowing throught my tears like water.
Ron couldn't do anything but calm me down. "I am such an idiot...........I thought he liked me..."I said, drying my tears. "Cheer up, Alex is gonna pay for this......How could he give our mother's gifts like that? He also made you cry...?"
I straightened up and faked a smile...."No it's ok............I am fine.." I grabbed my luggage but Before I could escape, Ron got up and sat behind me.... He slipped the chain on my neck and smiled.
"Take it.... I don't want it ,It's yours..."ron whispered in my ear.
"What?!"I screamed turning back.
"Keep it and remember me as it's onwer not Alex....."
I agreed and gave him a bear hug. After that, my crush was on a new beginning.
