Story
It was a usual weekend. My brothes were gone on swimming lessons for the whole day and I was alone for the day except my parents in the house. I wanted to spend my whole day watching tv, playing video games and napping.
"Hey Ashley, Do you need something from the market?" My mom screamed from the kitchen.
"Yea.........A hell lot of junk food."I giggled and returned to watching my Fav show. "Ok, but don't waste your time sooo much..."She advised me like always but like always i never listened.
After she went, I locked the door from inside. I returned to wasting my time by calling my friend Mandy by landline.
"Hey" I heard giggling over the phone.
"Hey..........how are you? Enjoying your freedom or not...." She asked me because she knew about my plans. "Yep.........How are you enjoying your family?" She sighed.
"What happened?" I asked with a fake sadness in my voice.
"Ohhhhhhhh............You know what happened, like always I ended up babysitting my little cousions while my family is out having fun. " I tried to control my laugh but failed.
After a whole hour talk with Mandy I decided to go and fetch something to eat. Just as I finished my call with Mandy, the phone rang.
The whole scenario was like one the horror films in which you are alone in the house. Suddenly the phone starts to ring and the actor with trembling hands reaches the phone. But there is no one on the other end.
Weird right .
The same was happening with me. I reaching for the phone but it stopped ringing. I waited for a moment then checked the ID list on the phone. It was a missed call from mom.
I was relieved that it wasn't a killer or anything. I called her back and waited for her to answer. "Hey mom.............whats up?" I asked after she answered the phone.
"There's a problem............. We will tell you about it later but right now please clean the guest room upstairs......." With that the call ended. I, right now in a shock put the reciever down and went towards the guest room.
'I hope everything's fine.........' I thought while taking off the sheets from the furniture.
I loved the guest room. It had a large window with a great view and the most comfortable furniture. It was painted plain white but it generally suited it. I really wanted this room to be my room but instead I got a small room with a stinky bathroom.
After everything was clean, I laid on the bed for a nap.
D I N G_D O N G
The sound woke me up. I hurried downstairs to open the door for my mom and dad. My hair was a mess, my eyes had sand in them and I had drool marks on my cheek but i didn't care. I hope there's no one with them.
But like always I was wrong.
I opened the door and saw my mom and dad with someone I hoped I would never see again. My friend Ryder. The last time I saw him was ten years back when we spend our summer vacations together.
I blinked a few times then after regaining my senses, welcomed them in. I grabbed my mom and led her to the kitchen."so.......What's up with the unexpected guest?" I ended up starting the conversation.
