The breeze was beautiful that day. My spirits were high as I straightened my white dress. I stepped forward taking a deep breath and hearing all the voices around me. "Come now." My father said to me and gripped my arm, walking forth. Rose petals and smiling faces were all I could see as I walked down the isle. We were on a beach. A secluded one just for us. The horizon was a sight that I could never forget. A memory I will hold on to. My fiancé looking over his shoulder with happiness. I finally reached him, shaking a little. I got so dizzy from crying; I couldn't believe what I was about to do. I looked to the other side of me and saw all my supportive bridesmaids in their pretty gowns. 'I don't deserve this' I thought. The priest spoke and everything else was blocked out. I could not even hear the words of the priest. They didn't matter to me because all I cared about was saying I do to the person standing in front of me. I twisted my straight red hair with my finger and as he finished stating the "terms" he asked multiple questions of me and my fiancé. We both grinned at each other. I could see into his deep brown eyes. My turn came to speak. "I do" I said confidently and my face flushed pink as the sky at sundown. The priest answered "You may now kiss the bride." And then it happened; the best thing. I had been wed with Harry Vincent. My name is Alex Barón and that was the best day of my life.
One Week Later
"Did you get everything?!" I called out to Harry. "Yeah, just a few more things." While most people would spend their money on an expensive honeymoon, my husband and I agreed on doing something that was a lot cheaper but sti fun for the both of us. We loved to climb and hike. Elisha used to teach fourth graders how to rock climb at a place not too far from his apartment. That was before we met. So anyway, we decided to take a boat to a snowy island that my cousin told me about. There is a big mountain placed in the center of the island. Very beautiful place she stated. It's supposed to be amazing and the heights are fantastic, that's what she said anyway. We were staying there for a full thirty days. We weren't paying much so we decided to take that to our advantage. I was really nervous because we weren't able to have wifi or service and we were going to be completely off grid. Alone. Sure, it's sounds pretty romantic when you hear it at first but when you think about it, it also sounds unsafe. "Our we bringing Sammy?" Sammy was a rescue dog. She was a husky and her fur was sooo soft. She was abused when she was a pup. The original owners, if I should even call them that, sliced her nose with a knife. They burned her fur to torment her. So many terrible things that I don't want to talk about. I am glad I got her, out of all the dogs there. She needed me and still does. She's a big dog but she always curls up next to me on the the bed. "Of course, honey!" I replied. We grabbed our suitcases, the dog by her rope leash and the keys to the car and the boat. We got in the car with Sammy and once I shut my door, I turned right to Elisha. I hugged him tight and asked "are you absolutely sure we should be doing this more towards money reasons? I want to feel safe in more ways than one way." He looked at me sternly but endearingly. "Do you trust us? This is not about the money; well a little bit but I'm doing this for Us." He reassured me. He put the key in the ignition and before I knew it, the day had started. Everything that I thought we controlled turned into a different story.
