Kevin had gotten edd back to his house quickly and once inside double ds house he quickly sat him on the couch and knelt infront of him "its alright double dork, your home now. Ive got you. Nothings going to hurt you" edd looked down and clutched his own vest a bit "blast...it happened again..everytime I hit my head..i black out and those images keep coming back..will I be forced to live like this the rest of my life kevin? It is simply not fair" kevin flinched at edd yelling but laid a hand on the others thigh tracing soft circles as he did so, he watched as edd slid that had down over his blue hues and started to sob. His heart was breaking, he tried to be a tough man all the time but there was just something about seeing double d cry that had him hurt. Another thing that bothered him was eddy, that junky was Defending edd..for two years he watched him cut double d out of his life, he was the one to hold dee while he cried so pissed of was and understatement of what he felt. But he didn't let it show, he reached up to brush his thumb over double D's face, only to see that familiar blush rise to his cheeks.

Double Ds heart stuttered feeling that touch on his cheek and he slowly lifted his hat to reveal his wet red puffy eyes as he looked down at kevin, the ginger had become something so precious to double D. he, and everybody at peach creek knew he was gay. But the only one who knew how he felt about kevin was marie, and that was because when he let her crash one night she had read his diary, she was sworn into secrecy and he was glad he could trust her, she never really spoke to many people since May had gotten arrested and lee went off to college.

Double d wached as keven slid to sit criss cross infront of him but was surprised to be pulled down into his lap, kevin made quick with adjusting the dork into a straddling position and it only made him all the more confident seeing that blush darken, he wasn't going to make his move, he wasn't sure if he would ever make his move but he needed to comfort him and kevin knew that double d always calmed down faster listening to kevins heart. Double d knew what he was doing so he shifted lightly to press his ear to keins chest to listen to his quickened heart beat. He almost instantly relaxed as he closed blue orbs "kevin..."

"yeah d?"

"two years ago..why did you help me..?" double d asked in a soft whisper trying not to actually think of the events that day.

Kevin ran his fingers up and down double ds back as he thought "I saw you needed help..so I helped you..who wouldn't?"

"...eddy didn't...eddy never helped me..he knew what was happening..and didn't help...even if I told him not to interfere...he wouldn't even let me talk about it without telling me to shove a sock in it.." a whimper escaped him "and now...now hes strung out on god knows what..and I cant help but to feel..that it is my fault.."

Kevin blinked and tilted the dorks chin up "eddy is..and has always been a coward...he should have helped the moment he knew..or at least told someone that could..but he didn't...that jerks drug problem has nothing to do with you so don't you feel guilty double dweeb"

Double d looked up at him and sniffled "youre always so kind to me kevin...even if you lie about our friendship..you still smile at me...but today..eddy..he helped me..maybe he needs help..hes my friend I shou-"-"NO!" double d flinched "eddy is not your friend dork! I am your friend! He doesn't need help! If he does let him go to a fucking drug rehab. I wont let you go through that because he has some weird crush on you!" kevin blinked and immediately regret his words as the look of confusion came over double d's face "kevin..you should know by now that nobody in their right mind would like me like that"
