My eyes flutter open as I awake from the only peaceful part of my day.
Monday. My favorite.
A slight groan escapes my lips as I feel the cold air hit my skin giving me chills.
I rush over to my dresser and pull out my black sweatshirt that says 'lush' on it and a grey tank. The drawers creek as I open up my bottom drawer and grab my ripped pair of skinny jeans. Next, I take a fresh pair of underwear and a bra along with my clothing and throw them onto my bed. Twisting my door knob to open my door, I step out into the warm hallway.
I grab a towel from a closet a little ways away from my room.
The hot and steaming water pours down, fogging up my bathroom.
In a matter of seconds, my comfortable pajamas are off and I'm in the shower. I do the usual and turn off the water then step out into the foggy bathroom.
I then dry off my body and squeeze the excess water out of my hair. My chills come back when as I step into my room and unwrap the towel that was covering me from exposure.
I put my clothes on and once again walk back into my bathroom. I brush and blow dry my hair, leaving it wavy and split down the middle.
Usually I try to do my makeup as light as possible, though still covering my flaws. I put on some concealer and mascara with a natural tint of pink on my lips.
My body shifts to the back of my bathroom door where I keep my shoes. I decide on my floral printed converse.
Once I finish brushing my teeth, I walk downstairs to come upon my mom making breakfast.
"Dear, are you hungry?" She asked planting a little smirk on her face as she already knows my answer.
"When am I never?" I replied sitting on the stool under the counter. She sat a plate down in front of me with pancakes and syrup covering it.
I take my phone off the counter where I keep it at night to charge. If I keep it in my room, I'll surely forget about it.
About 10 minuets later I'm finished with my food and about to head out of the door.
"Do you want me to take you to school?" My mom asked before I opened the front door.
"No thanks. Love you, see you after school." I blew her a kiss and headed to my car. The garage opened and I got into my white Ford Explorer. I then put my keys in ignition and backed out of my drive way onto the roads of my neighborhood.
My house was a short 10 minuets to the school. A little too short.
School was not lovely for me. Sure, I made good grades, but that's because I have no friends to distract me from my school work.
I know what your thinking, 'everyone has a friend or at least someone to talk to'. But no, being all serious, I have no friends. I had plenty when I was in elementary school, but things change when you go into high school. People just ignore you and all they care about is getting drunk and partying all night.
The closest thing I have to a friend is my mom and this dog that comes up to me I see every time I go for a jog. Anyways, I have learned to deal with it. Yeah, it sucks having no one to talk to or laugh about dumb stuff with. But hey, that dog is pretty great if you ask me.
I soon arrive at my school and park in my usual spot. I take my keys and my phone and put them in my pocket. As I'm walking up to the fairly large building, I see posters of the winter dance coming in a few weeks.
