I know I was a little rude to Niall in math class, but I'm not going to let him stir my feelings and play me like every other girl. He would become ten times more popular if he played the schools joke.
Ok, I seriously need to stop thinking about that jerk. He's not special in any way.
Anyways, it's now Wednesday and science couldn't be any more boring and slow. It's the longest class I have and I'm about to pass out on the floor. Mrs Eva's voice echoes through my ears as I watch the clock.
I feel something hard hit the back of my head making me flinch. I turn around to see a group of guys laughing and pointing at me. One mouthed 'read it.'
I open up the crumbled piece of paper and read it. 'Little loser watching the clock like she was watching Niall Monday? You have a better chance with a clock rather than Niall Horan.'
This just kinda made me laugh, how stupid and dumb can a guy be? This just shows it.
I throw the paper behind me and the bell rings. Lunch. My favorite subject ever.
I put my books up and walk into the large cafeteria. I step into the short line to get my food. Once I get what I want, I pay for my lunch and look for a place to sit. I see a table in the back and head towards it. I'm always sitting alone. But it doesn't bother me.
Once I'm seated, I start eating and get on my phone.
*Niall's POV*
I sit down with my best friend Weston and his girlfriend Riley.
"Hey Niall, what's up man." Weston greeted me while putting his arm around Riley. "Hey mate." I smiled at my best friend and his girlfriend.
"Did you hear about Izzy?" Riley asked us looking shocked.
"No, what happened?" Weston asked confused as I was.
"She made out with Freddie, the nerdiest guy here." With a disgusted look on her face, she looked over at the once popular girl sitting with the nerd.
I laughed and shook my head, "I bet you don't even have the balls to do that." I said looking at the couple.
"Bro, you don't either." He defended himself and smirked at me.
"Yeah, I do." I chuckled.
"Alright then dude, walk over to......" He looked around the room and stopped when his eyes landed on Mckenzie Taylor.
"Mckenzie Taylor. You have to get her to like you, a lot. Then ask her to the winter dance. I can get Freddie to change the votes where you and Mckenzie get winter King and queen. Then on stage you tell her all about this joke and embarrass the hell out of her." Weston's challenge was hard, but I can do it.
"Mckenzie? She would never go out with me mate." It's true, she was absolutely bitchy in Math and I can't stand her.
"Any girl would go out with you. Dude! She was staring at you in Math. Now get your Irish bum up off that seat and make her love you man!" He shouted as I rolled my eyes.
This might actually be fun. I get to make the schools joke an even bigger joke. By the dance, she'll love me, then she'll never want to talk to me. Bitch gets what she deserves.
I sit beside Mckenzie and she slowly turns her head to face me.
"Can I help you with something?" She crossed her arms and sat back in her seat.
Time for my charm.
"You looked lonely, so I wanted to keep you company." I said slightly smiling.
"I sit alone everyday and you laugh at me, so what do you want?" Damn, what is her problem?
I scoot closer to her and say, "Love, I don't laugh at you, I laugh at my friends who make fun of you because they are jealous of how perfect you are." I bite my lip hoping she'll lay off a little.
She smiled and leaned closer. "Oh Niall, take your shitty lies and shove them up your anal. Because what ever your doing, won't work." She turned back to her phone and rolled her eyes.
This is going to be harder than I imagined.
*Mackenzie's POV*
I can't help but let a part of me hope what Niall was saying be true. Maybe he was a nice guy.
Who am I kidding? He's a douche no matter what he says to me. I don't know why he came over to me or what he wanted, but it didn't feel like he cared at all. I have no time for fake people. I have no friends, but if Niall was trying to be one to me, he sure does suck at it.
But hey, who would try to be my friend?
The rest of the day went by pretty slow but I managed to get through the day.
Once I got home, I went up to my room to change is a pair of leggings and a pull over. I throw my hair into a pony tail and decide to go for a run.
Maybe the dog, which name is Zoe that's a golden retriever, will make my day better. I turn a left out of my drive way and start jogging.
Zoe was four houses down from mine, which was about a mile. A mile was easy for me to jog.
On my way to see Zoe, a girl was jogging out of her drive-way. I know her. She's in my Spanish class. I try to speed up because, like everyone, she's stone cold.
"Hey loser!!" She caught up to me and was now running beside me.
I try to run faster but she grabs my arm and pulls me down. "I saw you talking to Niall. Stay away from him or I'll ruin you princess." She warned me but I didn't think anything of it.
"I'm sorry but I think you need to continue your jog because if your going to do anything to me, you'll need to lose some weight." I snapped back and turned away, just about to run.
Instead, she grabbed my shoulder and turned me towards her. She raised her right hand and slapped me across my left cheek, leaving a burning feel.
My anger kicked in and I grabbed her by the collar and got in her face.
I could see a hint of fear in her eyes as I grit my teeth.
"Listen if you ever, and I mean ever put your hands on me again, I'll tell everyone about how your transgender and how you have a penis. You tell everyone your not a Virgin, but people won't believe that when they know the truth." She whimpered.
"H-how do you know that?" She asked with a confused look on her face.
I smirked and pushed her down. "This isn't over loser." She growled and walked away.
I heard clapping behind me and I turned around. Is he stalking me?
"That was priceless." Niall laughed and continued clapping. "Why is it I can't ever get rid of you?" I groaned and started walking the other way. He jogged in front of me and I stopped in my tracks. I could smell his cologne as I had to look up at his flawless face.
"I actually live in this neighborhood love." He said chuckling. I was certainly not in the mood to talk to him, let alone anyone.
So, me being Mckenzie Taylor, I start crying. Right then and there, right in front of Niall. MCKENZIE WHY?!
He stopped laughing and rushed to my side.
"Why are you crying?" He asked concerned. Dude, I'm asking myself the same question right now. "I-I-I don't know." I cried. He tried to comfort me but I jerked away and walked home.
On my way home I started thinking why I was crying. This is going to sound stupid. Not once in my high school experience have I talked to a guy so much in a day.
Niall almost felt like a friend. No Kenzie. He's nothing to you, no matter how hard he tries to be your friend. But why is having a friend so bad? Maybe this could be the start of more friendships. Or it could end up like everything in my life, a huge mistake.
I think to myself about this situation I'm in..
