Save A Broken Soul

Chapter 4

Sasuke POV

   All throughout dinner Itachi told me about this new case he's working on. "It was odd. Under all that fear, he had the kindest eyes, they were dull, but it was there." Itachi mused, swinging his fork around. "I just felt so horrid leaving him there. I say that about all of them, but him." Itachi paused, to look out the large window to his right. " He was....different." His posture faults red for a moment. "Your just doing your job brother, I'm sure this Naruto will be out of that horrid place soon enough."

  "Soon may be to far away for him." Itachi spoke as he rose from his seat, and headed towards the sink. While his back was turned, I pulled the file close to me and scanned over its contents. Inside was all the information on the case, with my brothers neatly written notes attached. I flipped through and paused on a family photo. A kind looking blond man, and a red headed woman gazed lovingly at each other. In the fore ground was a small, bright, blue eyed blond, happily starring down the camera.

  'Itachi wasn't kidding when he said he was different.' I could see it in his wide eyes, it was just there. The photo really made want to help this guy. I held the picture longer, wondering if his eyes are as bright as they were before the accident. Before i realized, Itachi had walked over, gently took the photo from me and closed the file. " I truly hope that he can survive until they get him out of there." I was starring at my plate, as he gripped my shoulder affectionately.

  " I hope they do too brother. Theres' just something about him." He paused, looking at the picture. " There is just something about him that i need to protect." He walked away, file in hand, leaving me to my own thoughts.

A/N wow. 324 words. I suck ass at making these long. as always i apologize for it being short, I'm a total hippocrate when I complain about short chapters. T~T All right people, important news. Chapter 5 is not even conceived yet so it may take a little more time to put up. On the plus side, Marching Band season is in full swing so that means a lot of time on the bus, no promises, but some more chapters may be posted on a weekly basis. Have wonderful day/night ^_^
