Chapter 2
*Seth's POV*
I could feel my throat burning, begging for blood. I told the driver to stop and as soon as the driver stopped I hopped out of the van.
I shut the door and sniffed the night air. I turned my head waiting for a smell to drift up to my wandering nose.
That's when it hit me. The smell of hikers. I could smell their skin, mosquito spray and campfire. Their blood line was healthy for they just ate.
I grinned mischievously to myself and headed off. I let my nose be my guide. I finally came to a halt when I saw the flickering of an orange light. This was the campfire.
I heard laughter as I crept up to the scene. There were six people, three guys and three girls. I licked my lips at my meal knowing I was going to be full. "I have to go to the bathroom," a perky blonde said.
Everyone pointed towards the deep woods and she whined in protest. She stood up and screamed about how she has no cell phone service and now she has to pee outside.
She trotted off and I followed. She moved out of sight that's when I pounced on her.
*Brooklyn's POV*
I observed my surroundings trying to figure out what last happened. It all came back to me and I instantly sat up. I was in a large van. My wallet and phone were missing and so was the mysterious guy that kidnapped me.
A light drizzle started outside from what I could hear. It was warm inside the van. I looked outside and I could tell we were not in New York anymore. We must've been in Pennsylvania because there was nothing but woods and gravel roads.
I looked at the guy in the front seat. He was buff and abnormally large. I could tell these people weren't human. The van door on the other side opened and the guy who kidnapped me was standing there.
He wiped his mouth and looked at me. "Well, she's awake," he said. The driver turned to look at me. All eyes were on me. I didn't know what to do so I did the most stupid thing.
I open the door on my side. The rain was hard and it was misty so it was hard to see. I went straight. I heard growls around me but I forced myself not to look back. I kept swinging my arms and moving my legs.
I pushed all the limbs and vines out of my way. But some were still hitting me in the face. I could feel the scratches forming on my arms and I felt the blood trickle down my face from a big limb that struck me in my face. I ignored the pain and kept moving.
I wasn't looking where I was going and I stepped off of a hill. I started tumbling down and I could feel more blood in more areas.
I finally came to a halt when I reached the bottom and I was stopped by something that got in my path. I rolled over and threw my arm around it and pushed myself up. Then I saw what it was and screamed.
It was a body. A girl who had bite marks all around her neck. Blood ran down her neck and she was pale and cold.
I got up and backed away slowly. Someone's arms wrapped around my waist pinning my arms down to it. "You see her?" a very deep and husky voice whispered in my head. I nodded my head very slowly. "That will be you the next time you decide to pull a stupid stunt like that you'll end up like her," he said giving my arms a tight squeeze.
