*Seth's POV*
It was cute that she thought she actually had a chance. But I had to admit I loved the way she moved. I only let her run because first off I love playing with my prey and second I needed time to calm down before I did something I would regret later. I actually wanted to keep this slave. She amuses me.
I watched her escape. She moved so fluently and quickly. Like a midget ninja. She was amazing to watch. I watched her until she disappeared into the woods. That's when I decided I needed to start moving.
I jumped off the balcony and took off torwards to where she ran to. I could smell her faintly. She knows how to cover up her scent and keep her heartbeat low. I'll have to ask her about that later.
"Brooklyn," I said. I heard her heartbeat accelerate then slow back down. I heard a rustling hear and there. She knows what she's doing.
"I'll find you," I said. I meant it too. I finally managed to find where she was. She was in a tree. If she was to be wearing camouflage I would've been screwed.
She wasn't too high, so I could've thrown something at her and knock her out. I grabbed a big limb and chunked it. I aimed it at the tree directly beside her head.
As planned, it startled her and she lost balanced and fell to the ground. She fell and I could smell the blood. I could see it too. She cut her hand trying to catch the limb she was on when she fell.
I ran over to her in vampire speed and looked at it. It was a gash but not a deep one. She got up an tried to run again. Of course she wasn't nearly as fast as me and I caught her. I picked her up bridal style and made a U turn and was back my room in a total of three seconds.
I laid her in my bed and cleaned her wound before I made her a snack. She didn't say a word. "How did you know how to do all that stuff?" I asked curiosity was killing me.
She shrugged her shoulders. "Common sense. vampires can find people by their five senses so you have to cloak them the best you can because they're five are sharper than ours," she said.
I was stunned at how much she pays attention. She was smart. I raised an eyebrow and I finished cleaning out her wound.
When I got done cleaning up I realized how hungry I was. I walked out and I saw her just sitting there, looking innocent. I already knew she was going to put up fight before I ever drank from her.
