"Guys I'm back!"
I looked over to the doorway to see JJ walk in with a huge smile on his face
I grinned at him, placing the controller on the couch beside me
"You'll never guess who I ran into today"
I pulled my knees up to my chest and watched as JJ sat on the chair beside me
"Who'd you see Jide?"
"I saw Josh"
Tears sprung to my eyes at the mention of his name
"He called you Simon and used male pronouns"
Confusion flowed through my body as JJ kept talking
"And he said he still loves you Simon"
"But JJ, what about his parents"
"He said he doesn't care, he loves you"
Hope flared through my body
Maybe we can be friends again, and maybe something more
