Chapter 46

Paige's POV
I scatter through drawers in the living room, hoping to find some kind of clue. At this point even the slightest thing could help. Gloria, Diana, and I keep looking through the living room, then at the corner of my eye I see Matt coming up from the basement with a slight grin on his face, he runs out the back door as if he just found the cure for cancer. Something isn't right, what is he doing? I head to the kitchen and grab a kitchen knife slipping it inside my pocket making sure Diana and Gloria don't see it. I'm going to see what Matt is up to and I'll need some kind of protection. I open the back door and see the cellar doors are open. What the hell could he be doing in there? I head towards the cellar and try to go slow when I reach the stairs. Stupid cracky old stairs, I spot Matt in front of a large chest. What the hell is he doing. He slips some pictures in his back pocket Turning his head side to side making sure no one sees him. Before he gets up I go up the stairs and run back inside the house. I spot Diana and Gloria still searching through old stuff.
" Guys we need to hide! Matts the killer!" I yell looking at both Diana and Gloria.
"I've told you, he isn't the killer stop it Paige." Says Diana rolling her eyes.
" I'm serious! He was slipping some pictures in his back pocket that he got from the cellar! What if those pictures are evidence that he's a killer!" I yell with wide eyes. Now they look a little more convinced,startled but more convinced.
Just as we are about to leave Matt walks through the door slowly closing it behind him. We all back away from his trying to make it unnoticeable.
" Guys what's wrong?" He asks looking at us.
"Matt, if you're the fucking killer then say it!" Screams Diana.
What a fucking idiot! Why would she just blurt it out?
" Wait, you think I'm the killer? For gods sake! How many times do I have to say I'm not the killer!" He shouts back.
"Don't make him angry he could kill us!" Hisses Gloria.
" Seriously I'm not the killer I have proof!" He yells once more.
" Then show us." I say looking at him with my strongest glare.
He begins to pull out the pictures I saw him put in his pocket but they are facing the opposite direction so we aren't able to see them.
" What are you waiting for turn them around!yells Diana. I can tell she's pissed by the way she clutched her fist against her sides.
" No, I need to identify them. I need to make sure these pictures are real." He says.
Before I can say anything else he runs up the stairs and I hear a loud door shut.
" Wait the rooms are open again?" Asks Gloria.
After that we all head upstairs and turn the knobs to our bedrooms and they finally open. Without hesitation we all get into our rooms.
Finally, peace and quiet.
I decide to take a 15 minute nap but I'm interrupted half way through when I hear footsteps outside my door. They where coming from the hallway. I try to ignore it but my curiosity gets the best of me. I kneel down to under my bed and open up a black safe I've been hiding. I grab the freshly new sharp knife and hold it against my back as I head to open my door. As I slowly peek open my door I see Diana entering Matts room. What the hell?

Diana's POV
    I sit down on my bed and place my hands on my lap. What is going on? Could Matt possibly be the killer? No, no it's just not possible. How could it be him. I must talk to him I just have to. I get up from my bed and open my door. I slowly try to keep my steps slow and silent so no one hears me. Once I reach Matts door I turn the knob and luckily it opens. As I open the door I see Matt on the floor with the Pictures in his lap.
" Matt I need to talk to you its important." I say biting down on my nail.
He looks up at me with big eyes, I can feel them piercing through mine.
" Diana, this is a whole lot more complicated than you thought."

( I know you guys probably want to murder me XD so sorry for the late updates school started and that's my main priority but we are coming to a close end and I will update really soon.
