I untangle myself away from Brennan. I didn't want to.
"Brennan i-" he shushes me
"Caden there are things in this life we are never going to understand. and some of those things are the desperation one person can have to just one other human. The physical deprivation in the mind of something once living. Its changing us. All of us. But right now I just want to lay here next to you. In a non divisional way. Because I think I love you more than I need you. But that just another unconseivable thing human minds won't understand..." He says slowly.
"But darling what just happened wasn't human." He laughs. I laugh with him
"Somehow that all made sense." I smile while facing him.
"Caden, we make sense. Two individual visibilities, being invisible to the world accept to the one person that matters." He smiles.
"You know. I think I love you." I say
I sit up in surprise.
"Wait I just said it. Absolutely desperately, in love with a complete odd wonderful. STRANGER!" I smile and crawl onto him. I put my legs directly on his. And lay my head in the crease of his neck. Considering I'm like 5 3' and he is like 5 8'.
"Caden I'm not sure if I love you more than I need you. Of if I need you more than I love you. But what I do know is I'd do anything to keep you safe, and being with me would be easier than breathing." He says in a whisper.
I sit there and melt in his arms, that he has wrapped around me. I put my arms under his and hug him by his shoulders.
"Brennan?"
"Yeah"
"Can I stay here forever?" I ask
He laughs slightly
"Caden."
"Yeah?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to hear your voice, and make sure your still here." He laughs. I laugh a little harder.
"Brennan."
"Yeah?"
"I fucking love you."
I smile
"Caden"
"Yeah?"
"I fucking love you too."
After laughing we eventually fall asleep... Holding each other.
