Chapter 12: Dangerous Liasions

Addison's POV.
Okay so I have a lot to fill you in on. First off the Salvatore's plan on kidnapping the coffins didn't work out. But before they gave them all back they woke Elijah up and kept one of the coffins which Nik cared about so much. Turns out that was the mother and everyone who was in coffins are now out including Rebekah.
Secondly the Mikaelson's are holding a gathering.
This morning the door bell rang . Lying on the floor was a box with an envelope addressed to me.
When I get inside I open the invite reading,
Please join the Mikaelson family. This evening at Severn o'clock . For dancing, cocktails and celebration.
Turning the card around there's another message.
Dearest Addison I look forwards to meeting you again, Elijah.

Then it dawns on me I'm going to be meeting Elijah for the first time since summer and the last dream I had of him.
Everyone in town has had invites including The Salvatore brothers and Elena Gilbert I'm surprised she is still alive after putting a dagger into Rebekah.
I spent most of the evening getting ready for Severn. Elijah bought me the most beautiful dress, it's grey and flows slightly. I put my hair in a simple up style.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I don't even recognise myself. I don't look like Addison Lockwood. I look at the time on my phone shit it's Severn guess I'm late. They don't live that far away so I decided to walk. All the way there I feel butterflies in my belly. This is stupid your Addison Lockwood suck it up. I tell myself never have I felt like this. When I walk in I notice Elena is already here with a Salvatore on bother arms. Geez what a bitch.
Stefan looks straight at me and gives me a little smile. I look at a lot of new faces I can only think the must be the siblings. Before I take another step Elijah walks up to me. When he reaches me I give him the biggest hug ever.
Me- Hey.
Elijah- Hello.
Me- You look like the living once again.
Elijah- It didn't take very long.
Elijah looks up by the stairs where the rest of the family are standing.
Elijah- I'll be right back.
Elijah heads to the stairs.
Elijah- Uh, if everyone could gather, please.
Finn- Excuse me.
Everyone turns there attention to the stairs.
Elijah-Welcome, thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance.

Oh great dancing I've got two left feet.
Elijah- Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz, so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom.
Everyone heads to the ball room. Elijah comes to find me.
Elijah- May I have this dance.
Me- I don't dance I've got two left feet however it is tradition. On condition if I fall you better catch me.
Elijah looks dead serious.
Elijah- I would never let you fall Addison.
He hold my hand and leads me into the room before the music starts he places a gentle kiss on the back of my hand.
The music starts and everyone moves. The song we are dancing to is 'give me love by ed Sheeran'.
Elijah- you look very beautiful tonight Addison.
Me- Why thank you Elijah, when looking in the mirror this evening I did not look like myself.
So thank you for my dress and the invite. I also want to say that you are properly aware that I spend the summer with Nik. (Elijah stays silent). Nothing happened I swear, the whole summer I was trying to find a way of waking you up. I couldn't Nik compelled me. I couldn't Elijah and it killed me not being able to wake you up. I sent most of the summer trying to fix everything.
Elijah - it's okay Addison I know what Klaus is like.
Me- He kissed me . I pushed him away straight away I promise.
Elijah seemed a little shocked about the kiss but not to much. He gave me a little smile before he turned me and before I knew what was happening I was in the arms of someone else. I've never seem him before, he must of noticed that in my face.
Unknown- Nice to meet you love. I've heard a lot about you from my brothers. I'm Kol Mikaelson. I would hit on you if my other two brothers weren't fighting over you. However I can see why they fight. You are a sexy little thing even for a wolf.
Me- Thanks for the introduction. Pleasure to meet you Kol. You are rather dashing your self however I only have my eyes on one Mikaelson brother.
Kol- Don't let Niklaus hear you saying that.
With that the dance ended and Kol pulled away. Everybody is leaving the dance floor. When I'm looking around I see Elijah heading towards me.
Elijah- Do you want to head outside for a little walk.
Me- I would love to.
Elijah takes my hand and leads me outside.
Elijah- Addison I'm glad that I had sometime to think things through whilst being in the coffin. All I could think about was seeing you again.
Me- Do you want to know something whilst you were away I dreamed about you. They were amazing dreams before they could end Nik always woke me up.
Elijah- It doesn't have to be a dream anymore Addison.
Me- What are you saying Elijah.
Elijah- I'm saying I would like to get to know you better if that's okay with you.

I don't bother responding with words. I crush my lips against his, I'm hoping that's all he needs to know.
Elijah- I'll take that as a yes.
Me- Hell yeah.
