The runaway

Chapter 1

     The sun beaming hot down on the little village. A little boy running down the dirt road and his older bother following him. They were going down to the farm. It wasn't very big but they helped there father who worked hard but not as fast as he used to.
"Hey Bryan, do you think dad will like the lunch you made him?" Said the little boy
"Of corse he will, I'm 15 Manny I know how to cook," said the boy named Bryan.
"Brother,"
"Ya,"
Why did you grow out your hair and put it in a braid every day?" Manny said in a puzzled voice. Bryan didn't answer that instead he ran up in front of Manny and said "I bet i can beat you to the farm!" Changing subject. They ran to the farm and saw there father working hard has usual.
"I win!" Bryan said breathing heavily.
"No I did!" Manny said also breathing heavily. The little farm is a far walk, especially because Bryan is 15 and Manny is only 7.
"Dad!" Both of the boys said.
The old man looked up with his eyes squinted because of the sun.
"Kids! How's your mother doing?" Said the man
"She getting better," explained Manny.
Both of their parents are getting old and getting to the point where they can't help their family, and their mom is very sick because a disease is now spreading around this time of year. And if you get this your very unlucky because most people that got this died.
" I made you some lunch dad,"
"Thank you very much Bryan," he had a grin and opened the bag and ate his peanut butter and jelly sandwich with lemonade. Footsteps. Bryan herd some thing in the distance. Quickening. It sounded like it was coming closer. Rampaging towards the boys. Ca-thump! Bryan turned around. He saw a girl tripping over a branch fallen off of a tree.
"Whoa are you ok?" Bryan said.
The girl got up. She had short blonde brown hair and a slice on her cheek. There was a symbol on her shirt.
"They coming for me! Get me out of here fox! Now!" She demanded.
" what! Who! Who are coming after you! Who are you and who is fox?!" Bryan said very confused. She grabs Bryan's wrist and runs dragging him in the dirt.
" WAIT LADY!!!"
She stops.
" what the hay are you doing?! Your ruining the crops! Slow down, calm down," Bryan said. They took the girl to their cottage and gave her a blanket and some soup to make her relax more.
"Ok so what is your name?" Bryan said in a calm voice.
"M-m-my name is Skyler but you can call me Sky. I'm only 14 what is your name?" Sky said more calmly.
"Ok well my name is Manny and these are my parent," said Manny
" their my parents too, Manny," said Bryan. "And my name is Bryan-"
"Wait,wait, wait... Your a boy?" Sky said " you look like a girl, I mean hair is like my friend's," his face turned red, and Manny tried so hard to keep his giggles in.
" IM NOT A GIRL!" Bryan said. " DO NOT CALL ME A GIRL!"
"Your eyes are really pretty too," she said and got really close to him like she was going to kiss him.
"Umm...your... Uh really close to me,"
She still was looking at him not listing.
Lick! Sky licked his his nose.
"Uhh what was that for?"
"Oh! I'm sorry I didn't mean to!"
She got up and sat back down.
