They get my angle right then we keep our legs up for a while then we start marching and Emily counted us off and we started. The first couple of tries I was bad but then I got it. At 6:15pm we got done and everybody started called their parents and left except cordynia so I got my mom and said "cordynia needs a ride home"

"what! No"

"then she's gonna be staying over here for a while and that means she has to come inside"

"ugh, okay I'm coming"

I go outside and tell cordynia "my mom is coming and do you live far from here"

"do you like band now?"

"yeah, mostly cause it's challenging and fun at the same time"

My mom comes out the door and we leave. When we drop off cordynia we go back home and I do what I always do, watch pewdiepie and get on Netflix then go to sleep.

The next day I wake up, get ready, try to wake up my mom, get hit, then go to school. Once I get to school, Emily isn't where she usually is in the morning, so I look around and I didn't find any of my friends but I did find Ruby

Ugh

I try to pass her but she has to say some shit. She bumps my arm and says "watch out where you going"

"what's your problem with me huh!" I scream out at her

"Uhh... Ummm well. I don't have to tell you!"

I scoff "yeah that's right, nothing you're just a bitch"

"me a bitch?!"

"yeah"

"alright, I'm telling my dad"

"what are you gonna tell him, you can't say bitch"

"well I will, ugh" she whips her hair and walks off angry.

Ha she doesn't know bitch means female dog or that she could say B word.

I keep walking around to find everybody but then zero hour is over so I go to my 1st class and Emily isn't there either. I sit in my seat alone and Ruby is staring at me with a stink eye but why should I bother. I feel my phone vibrate so I take it out secretly and I got a text from Emily saying "why aren't you here?"

Me- where???

Emily- at band, we had morning practice.

Me- how was I supposed to know

Emily- oh yeah you don't get text messages from band yet, so I guess you gotta miss this one sorry.

Me- it's okay, bye.

Emily- bye.

I was about to put my phone in my pocket but I see Mr. Hernandez in front of me with his hand out then he said "phone, now!"

"why?"

I know why but I'm stalling

"because Ruby told me you were on your phone"

I look at Ruby and she has a smirk on her face then she waves at me then I say "where's your proof?"

"I don't need proof, my daughter would never lie to me"

"nothing here" I give him my phone and he looks through my stuff
