Nightmare

Princess

The next morning Annabelle wakes up panicked, and heavily breathing, looking around to see where she is.
Brian wakes up right away and hits his head on the dresser.
"Where are we?" She says still panicked, but getting more calm now that she sees Brian and starts remembering.
"I told you we would sleep here, didn't I?" He says with a warm smile sitting on the floor with Annabelle in a bed.
"Oh yeah, but where is here?"
"The abandoned mansion."
"Like where princesses live?" Annabelle says suddenly interested.
Brian nods. "Mmhhhm"
"Really? We should go see what princess lives here!" She says excited looking around and grabbing her teddy bear.
"Woah, woah! She's sleeping. Here, first thing in the morning we'll meet her okay? But for now you need to sleep."
"But it is morning, cause I'm not tired"
Brian looks to the right of the room at a big hole in the wall with vines growing out of it.
"Excuse me." He says walking into another room and closing the door behind him. While in there he calls a friend on a walkie talkie.
"You need to change into a princess costume, and then come back inside, okay?" He walks back into the room with Annabelle patiently waiting with her teddy bear. "I called her, the princess is awake."
"Really?!! Can we go see her?" She squeals.
"Sure!"
"Where is she?"
Brian takes Annabelle's hand and leads her to his friend. "This way" He says.
The farther they walk the more excited Annabelle gets. Brian opens a door to a girl in a purple dress.
"Are you a princess?" Annabelle asks.
"Indeed I am," the girl says smiling.
"What's your name?"
"Princess Alyssa of elegance."
"Every princess has elegance, it's not a place, are you sure you're a real princess?" Annabelle asks inquisitive.
Alyssa nods. "I am the picture of elegance."
"You are wearing a princess dress, and living in a castle though, so you must be a princess." She says getting excited again.
Alyssa hugs Annabelle. "You are so beautiful." Alyssa comments looking at Annabelle after the hug.
Annabelle gets really shy, giggles, then says, "You're even more beautiful, especially in that PURPLE dress."
She smiles. "Why, thank you. Purple is my favorite color."
Annabelle gasps. "Really? Mine too!!"
Alyssa smiles. "Really?"
"Mmhhhm"
"Wow! You really are a miracle." She says and then stands up. "I must go now and you must get to breakfast, young lady."
Annabelle laughs and then asks right before she leaves, "Are you late for tea, Princess Alyssa?"
She nods. "You are pretty smart for your age miss. Good day."
