Nineteen

Ali POV
*two years later*

I haven't been able to talk to Rachel in a long time. Since I moved to Florida due to an inconvenience, I missed Rachel like crazy.

I wonder if she ever thinks of me. Probably not, she's having too much fun with Louis. Ever since she's moved in with him and they started going out and all.

Rachel POV

"Rachel," A voice whispered.

"Hm?" I murmured.

"It's time to get up, you've been sleeping all day." The voiced whispered again.

"I wasn't sleeping." I retorted, looking up and seeing Louis at the end of the bed.

"I have to ask you something Rachel. Please, follow me?" He asked.

"Fine, give me five minutes to freshen up." I sighed.

"Alright, come out to the pool area when you're ready."

Heaving myself off the bed, I walked over to the bathroom and stared at myself.

What.

I had been crying.

Pausing to think, I realized I missed Ali. She had been gone for 2 months and we haven't talked.

Shaking the thought out and focusing on getting ready, I splashed my face with cold water and tried to wash out the pain in my eyes.

I brushed out my long brown hair and brushed my teeth. Looking much better, I stalked out of the bathroom and out into the hallway.

'Come out to the pool area', I remembered Louis saying. I walked out into the living area and stretched. Damn, why do my bones ache so bad?

Shrugging, I continued to head for the pool like Louis told me to. Turning out to open the patio door, I noticed that the boys, Liam, Niall, Zayn, Harry, and of course Louis, was there. Raising an eyebrows I opened the door and walked out into the clearing.

"Good morning, Love!" Harry exclaimed.

"Morning." I mumbled, still tired.

"Good Morning, babe." Louis smiled, giving me a comforting hug, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm just tired." I said.

"You sure?"

"Yes." I confirmed. Louis gave a tiny nod in response and went over to Liam and whispered something in his ear.

Liam nodded and motioned me to come sit down next to him. Confused, I obeyed and sat down next to him.

"Babe, I'm going to go be right back. Is that alright?" Louis asked me.

"Yeah it's fine. I don't mind." I waved my hand. Louis nodded and turned to go back inside.

"So how are you?" Liam asked, startling me.

"I'm fine." I answered.

"You're obviously not tired, though. Something's up, what's wrong?" he asked.

"Yeah what's going on?" Niall questioned.

"Fine," I started. "I just miss Ali, a lot."

"Ah." Harry mumbled.

"Don't worry about her now. We'll make sure you talk to her later." Niall stated.

I smirked and said, "Alright."

"Rachel?" a small voice asked. I turned my head and there she was, Ali.

"Ali!" I yelled, jumping up from where I sat and running up towards her, covering her in a huge bone crushing hug.

"Rachel." Ali mumbled in my hair, returning the hug. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you, too." I almost choked on my words, realizing how happy I was.

"Come sit!" Zayn suggested when we pulled apart.

I nodded to Ali and she sat down with me.

"Why are you here?" I asked Ali.

"I couldn't miss today." She stated.

"Wait what, what's happening today?" I asked sending the boys confusing looks and they just smirked. I turned my head to the patio door when I heard it open and Louis was there, dressed in a black tuxedo.

I looked back at the boys and I felt even more confused. A couple of them chuckled softly and Ali smiled.

"Rachel." Louis said.

"Louis."

"Come here." He said.

I got up and walked over to Louis as he bent down on one knee, my eyes widened.

"Rachel, I've known you ever since I was in 6th grade and I loved you since. When I first layed my eyes on you I knew I loved you. You have always been my best friend and I have one question. Will you marry me?" He slowly pulled out a black box from his pocket and opened it, revealing a beautiful diamond ring.

I nodded, slowly, until it turned I started to nod faster and faster. I couldn't even speak. "Yes." I managed to choke out. "Yes."

Smiling widely, he placed the diamond ring onto my ring finger and I stared at it in awe. The boys and Ali started to clap and Louis got up and kissed me on the lips.

Pulling away he said, "I love you, Rachel. I always knew you were the one."
