After my meeting I got a text from a unknown number asking me to meet them a Denny's. I pulled up then got out my Mercedes and went inside.

I didn't know who I was exactly  looking for. So I just looked around to see if I saw anyone who look familiar. I scan the restaurant a few times before I saw Promise. I walked over to her and took a seat.

"I didn't think you were going to come." She said looking down.

"The one and only reason I even thought about showing up was because of Kane. If you wasn't carrying his baby I wouldn't be here."

"I figured that but what made you want to talk to me after I did to you and Kane."

"Kane......He's worried about he's baby...... that is his baby right?" I asked pointing at her stomach.

"Yes of course this is his baby and I'm have a girl....Twin girls."

"Awe you having twins...Where you staying?"

"I've got a place in Harlem, where I'm staying with a friend. " She said and I chuckled.

"Like hell if you think Im'ma let you raise my boss kids in Harlem. Now I may not like you but I'm not finna let Kane find that shit out either. So you can stay at Kane's house. Just you and the twins. Not yo mama, yo daddy, or yo sister-brother-cousin-girlfriend.  Just you and the twins." I said and she nodded.

I can't wait to tell Kane about this I know he gone be happy. I'm low key happy but I'm not gone tell her.  After we ate I took her to Kane house and gave a her a key.  I also let her drive his Range Rover and told her I was gone take her shopping tomorrow.

"Baby I'm home where you at?" Tyrone asked coming in the house.

"I'll be right down." I said walking downstairs. "Hey how was your day?" I asked giving him a hug.

"Um it was actually good I ran into somebody." He said looking in the fridge.

"Awe who?"

"Michael." He said taking out a bottle of water.

"Michael....... like Michael from high school?"

"Yeah he doing good to he say he getting married in a few months. And when I told him I was back with you having another baby he was surprised."

"Awe where y'all meet?" I asked leaning up against the counter.

"The gas station I was getting some gas and he walked up to me. We even made plans for this weekend for dinner."

"Okay where's Ah'niya?"

"In her room I put her down for a nap." He said and I nodded. "Jess....baby what's wrong?" He asked walking up to me.

"Nothing I-I just had a long stressful day I think Im'ma go lay down." I said trying to walk away but he grabbed my arm.

"Hey Jessica don't lie to me you know how much I hate that shit. Tell me what's wrong Jess I love you I really do. Now tell me."

I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and shook my head. "Promise me you won't get mad."

"I can't promi-"

"Just promise me please."

"Ight I promise."

"Okay so one of the head doctors at my job knows about my past."

"And your point is...."

"He wants me to sleep with him so that I don't lose my job." I said and he just stared at me.

"Did you sleep with him? And don't you fucking lie to me either Jessica." He said grabbing my neck.

"N-no I-I swear." I struggled to get out.

"Okay Im'ma stop by there tomorrow. " He said letting go and kissing me.
