Chapter 4

     Ugh. 6:00 the bewitching hour. I rolled over to punch my alarm clock, hit the floor, and lets just say I was awake. I got dressed (above) brushed my teeth, and just brushed my hair. I ran down stairs to get breakfast and see a note on the table.

Dear Jenna,

Derek had an early meeting and I have interviews lined up all day. I'm sorry we had to miss your first day at school, but we wish you all of the luck in the world. Please promise me that you will try to come out of your shell at least a little. We will be praying for you and I hope you will be doing the same for me. Love you so much darling.

     Ok then looks like cereal for breakfast. After "breakfast" I go out to my buss stop right on time. And by on time the bus driver had just closed the door. When I get on there wasn't any empty spaces. Great... I walk down the isl and just kindle wait for some one to say I can sit with them.

Then finally it happens. A sweet looking girl said "you can sit with me."
I take the offer after a slight thanks. When she trys to talk to me.

"Hey, I'm Aaliyah. Aaliyah mendes. I get the feeling your new here." she has long brown hair and chocolate eyes.

"Yeah, I just moved from Colorado. Im Jenna. Jenna Makoli."

"So whats your scedual?" I tell her my scedual when she said "No way we have the exact same scedual. I can show you around!"

"Yeah sounds great!"

So we get to school and of course out of the blue in first period I have to do the whole "tell us about yourself" thing.

Finally lunch. 3periods down 4 to go. Aaliyah and I get our lunch and walk to a table suprislingly alone. I thought her friends will be here in a little bit.

After 5 min I ask "So where are your other friendes?" her face looked kindod sad. Why did I have to ask?

"There are non. You see I have an older brother, shawn and he is in 12 grade(for the sake of this story). All of my old 'friends' just used me to try to get to him."

"Oh, I'm so sorry. That must be awful." I really do feel bad. Then she asked

"You aren't using me are you?"

"Of course not I didn't even know you had a brother!" I said defensively.

"Wait you dont know my brother?"

"No. Am I missing something?"

"No just asking?" I feel like she is hiding something. "Hey do you want to come over to my house tonight. So you can catch up on homework?"

"Yeah totally."

We just got of the bus and we are walking to Aaliyahs house. Turns out its just two doors down. We walk in and she yells "I'm home! And I have a friend!"
