At that point in time I felt like I was having an out of body experience and was looking in from the outside. I could see everything from being rushed out of the hotel into an ambulance, seeing my sister scream and reach for me while I laid unconscious on the gurney that was rushing me through the doors of the emergency entrance to the operating room, to even the people preforming the surgery to remove the bullet. Due to the blood loss I had flat lined once or twice throughout all of it. Luckily since I have AB blood it meant I was a universal recipient so that meant there was no shortage of transfusions for me. Soon enough the surgery was over and I was being moved to the intensive care unit to be observed until I was completely stabilized. Only my father and sister were allowed in the room with me in my condition. She laid next to me in the bed even if our father old her to get off he didn't have the heart to remove her. St that point all I wanted to do was move my hand and run my fingers through her like I used to do when she'd wake up because of a nightmare, but was like I wasn't even attached to my body anymore. That's when I felt an all too familiar presence that I hadn't felt for the last two years. It was my mother.
