I run my fingers through my blonde hair and stare at my reflection in my car vanity mirror. My brown eyes seeming bigger than usual because of my top eyeliner.

Quickly I text my mom that I’m at their house then shove my phone in my hoodie pocket.

I grab my backpack from the passenger side and get out of the car, making my way up to the front door of my best friend’s and boyfriend’s house.

I ring the doorbell and loud clashing and stomping echoes outside.

The door flies open and reveals Mike.

“Hey, Mads.” He says giving me a hug as he drags me inside.

“Hey, Mikey.” I say hugging him properly.

He gives me a quick peck on my lips.

“Maddie.” I hear coming from the hallway.

I glance around Mike’s arm and see Vic standing there smiling.

“Hey, Vic.” I say pulling away from Mike and walking over to hug him.

He gives me a tight squeeze.

“How’s college?” I ask yanking off my hoodie and setting it on the floor along with my backpack.

“Kinda boring.” He says scrunching his nose.

I feel Mike’s arms wrap around me, and he pulls me into him. I fix my long-sleeved black shirt and pull up my jeans.

“How’s the band going? Where’s my brother?” I ask.

“The band’s going amazing right now. We have a new guitarist and he’s picked up all the songs with ease. We have a meeting tomorrow, as you know. We’re being told when we can start touring since all of you just graduated. And Jaime’s in the back with him waiting for us to come back.” Vic says.

“Oh shit I interrupted practice.” I say frowning at Mike.

“No! It’s totally fine, Babe.” Mike says smiling.

I sigh a bit and roll my eyes.

“Come meet him.” Vic says tugging my hand a bit.

I yank away and unwrap myself from Mike.

“I’m good. Where’s Momma?” I ask.
“She’s at the store and you’ll have to meet him anyways.” Vic explains.

“Why in the fuck would I have to meet him?” I ask shooting a glare at Vic.

Vic glances at Mike so I turn my attention to him.

“He’s going to be with us a lot.” Mike says.

I sigh a bit and then shrug my shoulders.

“Well introduce me to him. We’ll end up being friends anyways.” I say glancing down the hall as loud laughter spills from the practice room.

We all walk back there and inside the room.

“Baby sister!” Jaime yells tackling me to the couch.

“Jaime get your ass off of me!” I screech smacking his arm.

“Be nice to your older brother!” He warns.

“You’re older than me by two minutes! Two fucking minutes!” I say annoyed.

“Still older.” He says smirking.

“You guys don’t look like twins at all. Like your personality’s are completely different and so are your looks.” Vic says laughing.

“Fraternal twins, Victor.” Jaime and I say in sync.
