I took his hand and returned the handshake with a fake smile before facing my dad
"He's my what?,no offence Elvis "
"Its Ethan" he corrected
"I thought mum was driving me " I said to my dad ignoring Elvis or Ethan same thing
"Your mum might not be available all the time sweetheart" my dad said squatting down in front of me "there are times she will need to travel"
"There's always Faith and Sarah" I pointed out
"True, but they will have needs at certain times you know"
"And he doesn't" I said pointing at Ethan
"I'm sure he does, but he's more reliable " my dad said
"How can you be so certain?" I questioned
"Well Ethan -" my dad began
"No need sir I'll explain for Miss Olivia" he said as he turned to me "I'm in college at the moment and my classes start by 9 and end by 2 while yours starts by 7 and ends by 3, I can assure you then there won't be any disappointments"
I looked at my dad who was smiling he was obviously impressed.
"I guess you've done your homework Edward"
"Its Ethan " he corrected again
Okay okay I know his name is Ethan but right now I just want to tick him off a bit
"What if I need you to drive me home due to an emergency of some sort when you have classes mm? I asked folding my arms
"Whenever you need me Miss Olivia, I'll be there" he said
Damn, is it me or did those lines have a second meaning to it
"I'm sorry ETHAN but I'm certain I don't need a chauffeur"
"Yes you do honey he starts tomorrow and he will be living at the boys quarters he's already packed in" my dad said
"Its final isn't it?" I said with a sigh
"Yes love"
"Fine, umm dad could you excuse us for a minute I'd like to know more about the guy i'm putting my safety in" I said with a smile
"Okay, I'll be inside welcome to the family Ethan " my dad said shaking his hand
"Thank you sir"
"And Olivia?"
"Yes dad"
"Try not to scare him away" he said with a smile before entering inside
"Okay, let get one thing straight I do not like and I'm not in support of this chauffeur thing" I said
"I'm aware Miss Olivia" he said
"No Miss please just Olivia " I said
"Okay Olivia"
"I'll like to ask some questions if you don't mind but firstly I'll like to apologize for my behavior I was just caught off guard"
"Apology accepted, I'll also like to apologize too" he said
"For what?" I asked looking confused
"For judging you based on your first impression, I'm sorry"
