"Come, follow me..."

I wasn't sure whether or not to trust the stranger, so I sat there blinking at him for a good minute and a half. A few blue hairs poked out of a well-placed hat--he definitely wasn't one of the creators. "Um...who are you?", I questioned curiously, still ogling at the man in front of me as if he was a ghost. "I'll explain later--just come with me for now, okay?" He held out his hand, a warm smile spreading on his face. "No, don't follow him. We don't know who he is, and who knows what will happen?"

In the spur of the moment, I took the unknown stranger's hand, unconsciously flushing a light shade of pink. I didn't care what my brother said; this could be our only chance out! "What about you? Aren't you coming too...?" He seemed rather concerned for our well being...didn't he know we were doomed for the scrap heap? "Ugh...fine." My pessimistic sibling took hold of my hand, looking away. It was clear he still didn't trust anyone, considering how he was boring holes into the floor with his eyes.

The stranger nearly dragged us out of the room at a brisk pace, a look of concentration manifesting itself on his face as he weaved throughout countless corridors. At long last, we exitied the horrible white building. "My name is Kaito...you asked before, right?", Kaito seemed to half-mumble to no one in particular, and it wasn't until the information processed I realized he was talking to me. "O-oh...right. Nice to meet you, Kaito..." I watched as he took off his hat, revealing beautiful blue hair.

Then I realized that I didn't have a name to introduce myself by. Man, did I feel stupid... Carefully, I stole a glance at my older sibling, smiling softly. He had turned bright red upon seeing Kaito's bright blue looks, and was now looking away. "W...why are you here?", stuttered my adorable onii-san, trying to seem tough. It so wasn't working.

"I'm one of the Vocaloids, like you~ Master sent for you two...he really wants you to be part of our family!" Wait, this flashy blue boy...was a VOCALOID?! Now I really felt embarrassed. My little mechanical heart was pounding...we were about to get names, a home, and friends at the same time! "Let's go~ The Vocaloid mansion is just ahead!", The blue Vocaloid chirped, aiming a wink my way. Now it was my turn to blush, making my brother snort in amusement beside me.

"Stop laughing!", I squeaked, punching him in the arm just hard enough to leave a mark. Unfortunately, this only made him laugh harder, much to my chagrin and embarrassment. This little show of sibling antics made Kaito laugh apprehensively, almost as if he was afraid we would pull him into it. Was he used to this kind of thing? After he was done laughing, my taller sibling nodded to Kaito, giving him clearance to lead us to our new home.

It was a new beginning, for both me and my brother.
