Jesse's POV

I walked down the hallway, heading towards the kitchen to get myself a snack.  Pudding, I thought.  Yeah.  Pudding sounds good.

I was pulled out of my daydreams about pudding by music coming from Y/N's door.  I glanced over to see that the door was conveniently cracked, allowing me to peek in.  I saw Y/N dancing and singing along to a song I didn't recognize.

"Yeah, you better know where you're going!"

I watched as she danced around the room, mesmerized as her body moved perfectly to the music.

"You're a wanderer, just like me," she sang.

"Yeah, you better know where you're - Oh!  Jesse, what are you doing here?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and glanced around at the room I was in, noticing immediately that it was not the hallway I started out in, but rather Y/N's room.

"Uh..." I didn't know how to react.  I didn't want to say, "Oh, I heard you singing and I thought it was pretty so I decided to act like a total creeper and watch you without you knowing!"

"I, uh, I wanted some pudding and I was wondering if you had any in here," I said.  It wasn't entirely a lie.  I did want pudding, but I wasn't wondering if she had any.

She crossed her arms.  "You heard me singing, didn't you?"

I opened my mouth to respond, but nothing came out.  She had caught me. There was no point in trying to hide it anymore, so I simply nodded.

She grinned, then stepped over to me and grabbed my arm, pulling me along as she moved to the rhythm of the music.  It was all I could to keep up.

"I've been painting every fence I know, every color bleeds into the same," she sang as we danced to the music.  "But before you go and walk away, yeah you better know where you're going!"

"Hey, yeah, hey, yeah, you're a wanderer just like me," she sang.  "Hey, yeah, hey, yeah, yeah you better know where you're going!"

As the song ended, she grinned at my worn out expression.  "That was...tiring," I said, and she laughed.

"Come on," she said, "Let's go get some pudding."
