How it started

"Fuck!" I exclaim. My shirt was stained in pasta sauce after miss bitchy bitchface, aka Alana, bumped into me.

"Oh Allison! I'm so sorry!" She fake gasped.

"Uh it's Andrea." I said as I grab a tissue to wipe my no longer white shirt.

"That blouse is too tight for you anyway, Al." Alana said. "It shows off your muffin tops hun." She flipped her hair and strutted away.

"It's not Alli- ugh never mind." I wiped off whatever I could and I felt dozens of eyes piercing my body.

"Yo Andrea! Are you okay?" My best friend-and only friend, Cassidy, pushes through the small circle that gathered around me.

I sigh. "Yeah I'm fine."

You might be thinking "wow Andrea's such a loser" and you'd be right. I am a quiet, shy, useless being that no one knows about. I have only one friend, never had a boyfriend, and I may never get one. Haha I'm gonna die alone.

The janitor comes by to clean the mess, and as I get up, I meet eyes with the most beautiful being in the universe. His icy blue eyes stare at my face, then my shirt, and back to my face.

"Nice shirt." He says. And turns away.

That was Sean; my crush since I first met him. Or saw him. I never actually met him since he was too cool for me. Such a sad life. He never talked to me except like a second ago. However, he's not the nicest boy. Drugs, alcohol, parties, and sex define his life. He and his friends have the biggest parties every month. Unfortunately I never get invited...you get the point.

As I watch him leave the cafeteria and imagine how our babies may look like, the bell rang for next period.

"Now class, you have ten minutes to finish this pop quiz" Mr. Smucker says as he hands out the paper.

"Ah shit John, I'll pass." Cole, one of Sean's friends said. He sits behind me.

"Housekeeper! How many times should I tell you to not curse or say my name! You know what for that, you'll get a zero!"

"Mr Smucker huh? More like Mr Fucker." Cole whispered and I let out a giggle.

Cough. Cough

I was in study hall, the second to last period of the day, and I was fucking bored. It was completely silent except for a guy a few seats away from me who was coughing.

There was only five minutes left for the bell to ring and I was ready to leave; except the phone rang.

"Andrea," the teacher said. "You need to go to the main office. Now." He said with a stern voice. I nodded and grabbed my bookbag.

I was kind of worried for what was coming because the study hall teacher was very serious when he told me to go.

However, my sweaty palms became even more sweaty when I saw the Greek God walk by me.

You guessed it.

Sean had a bitter look on his face and I wondered what was wrong. Hah no I didn't. I was too busy staring at his beautiful face. He looked at me for a millisecond and walked on. So did I

"Hello Andrea. Please have a seat." One of the counselor stood me when I walked in the office.

I smiled and sat down. She had soft, feeble countenance and pursed lips.

"I have not so good news for you Andrea." I watched her eyes move back and forth, waiting to continue.

"Your mother was in a terrible accident; car accident this afternoon. She was injured and at the hospital now."

I kept on staring, and felt tears in my eyes. I was at loss of words. My mother...

The lady continued. " you are not allowed to visit her for a while since she is in terrible condition. We contacted you father who is off at New Zealand for a buisnes trip and he gave me the following person to go to." She showed me a paper with a woman's name, address and phone number.

"And she will be your guardian for the next month or more. I hope you understand."

"...okay." I tried to say. There was a pit in my stomach and I felt horrible. I took the paper she gave, said goodbye, and ran out of the room to the girls bathroom off to cry.

There was only a few minutes of the last period and I fixed myself from looking terrible after crying.

It's gonna be fine I thought. And walked out.
I took the public bus to the address the lady gave. When I walked out I realized it was the richer part of the town. Beautiful, large homes surrounded me, fountains sprinkled in the distance and I was excited to meet my new "guardians."

When I found the house, I rang the doorbell and a very pretty middle aged woman opened it.

"You must be Andrea! So nice to finally meet you! I'm Faizah!" She exclaimed.

We exchanged greetings, got to know each other, when I heard footsteps.

"Oh darling! That must be my son! Have you met him? He's a sweetheart." She said with joy.

When I looked her son, I almost fainted.
