Wonder. His eyes are so... full of wonder right now.

We were currently in the recreation hall, as it was activity time for the patients here--this basically meant they'd get to do anything that involved arts and crafts or board games. I'd been sat with the same patient I had been with before, helping her on the exact same puzzle, when he had walked in.

He'd caught my eye immediately, and now I can't stop looking at him.

I'm watching him--watching him paint. And I'd never seen him this happy.

It seems as if whatever he's painting makes him like this.

He's using a lot of green. Greens and blues, just like his hair and eyes. I wonder if he's painting himself.

I want to go over and ask him what he's painting, because whatever it is, it sure as hell makes him excited. He has a child's light to his eyes, a grin plastered onto his face. He loves whatever he's doing. And I'm glad for him because of it.

It's the first time I've seen him like this since he first came here.

Maybe he's painting a friend? He's dragging his fingers along the paper in big circles, so that could be a head, possibly. But a green head?

That wouldn't make sense.

I really have to get to know this boy.
