Hey everyone.
Thank you so much for the great support this story has gotten. I've been asked to write more chapters, so I wrote another one for you.
It has been very long since I wrote "Four times Sirius and Remus Kissed While They Weren't Together", so you may notice a slight change in things. The biggest one is that I changed the story to first person from Remus perspective.
I hope to go back and rewrite the first part (mainly because of the major grammar issues), but I won't change that to first person too. That would take way to long, and I would much rather focus on a new story. Let me know it there's something you want to read.Back to this one. I hope you enjoy it very much. :-)
My palms were sweaty. I could feel his presence, I needed him so bad. I missed him in my arms, I missed the little things. He wasn't a free man, but I think I finally realized that he wasn't a traitor either. He was just another victim to Peter's crimes. And I loved him. I loved him so deeply that everything that had happened, the way he left me, broken and bruised. None of that mattered anymore. He was my true love, my partner and my soulmate.
I walked the silent halls and corridors of Hogwarts, while on my way back to my office. It was Halloween, and what a scare it had been so far. Sirius Black had apparently tried to break into the Gryffindor common room. It didn't make sense to me, didn't he know that he'd just make his shot at getting closer to Harry was even worse now? Harry would see it as an attack, and would probably start to think thar Sirius was out to get him.
I didn't know what to think. Why was he acting like this? Peter was dead, but Sirius still acted like he wanted to kill somebody. I just wish I knew where he was.
I remember reading about his escape in the Daily Prophet, that was when I knew I needed to get back to Hogwarts. Sirius knew that I would be hiding in complete isolation, and that he would never be able to find me. So the first person he would try to track down, was Harry.
"Look Remmy! He's so adorable," Sirius almost yelled as he looked down at the infant with green eyes. "When you start at Hogwarts you need to get the Marauders back up again. But don't you worry, little one, your godfather will teach you all you need to know."
"Poor boy," I smiled og pulled my arms around Sirius from behind him. "I hope there'll someone who will make sure he stays out of trouble."
Sirius turned around and kissed my nose. He whispered as he leaned his forehead against mine. "There won't be anyone like you if that's what you're referring to. You're one of a kind, love."
"Someone a bit like me then," I was whispering too. Sirius smiled and kissed me lightly. When he pulled away I looked deeply into his eyes. "I love you, Sirius."
"I love you too, Remus," he gave me another kiss. "So much."
I think that was one of our last happy moments together, before everything had a very abrupt ending. I was very depressed for a very long time, but then.... Then I learned to cope. I had become emotionless, but I made it through the day, and that was more than I could ever hope for.
My happiest time since Sirius left was when I started working at Hogwarts, teaching the kids about Boggarts and Grindylows. I could watch over Harry, while at the same time reliving some of the best years of my life.
I reached the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. The light from my wand shined brightly in the dark room. I turned the oil lamp on my desk on, and sat down on the chair. It had been almost two hours since Sirius had ripped the portrait of The Fat Lady, and he would most likely be out of there, if he didn't want to risk his freedom.
There was a sudden croak behind me, I turned around and was very fast to get out of my chair again. I could see a shadow of a man. He was hold a wand in front of him. "Expelliarmus!"
I caught his wand. "Now, slowly step out into the light."
A man with black, curly hair and very gray eyes stepped out before me. He was wearing the trademark Azkaban prison clothes, he looked horrible. His face was almost as gray as his eyes, he was skinny, like he had been starved, he looked almost lifeless. He smiled, but he looked so destroyed, that it was just a grimace, and the smile didn't reach his eyes. Every dimple, everything that made him Sirius Black was washed away by the pain the dementors had caused him.
"Sirius," I ran the few meters to get to him. I wrapped my arms around his honey figure, and held him very close to me. "What did those bastards do to you?"
"Be careful, I smell like dog," he said. Even though his voice was in a very bad shape too, I could hear his smile. He pushed me far enough away so he could see my face, but his hand were still holding my arms in a tight grip.
"I haven't seen you in twelve years, and the first thing you worry about is how you smell?" I laughed, and he just shrugged. "That's so you."
His face got a bit more serious, and he stared into my eyes. "Remus... I'm sorry... I'm so sorry for everything."
"Don't do that," I whispered. "You didn't do anything wrong ."
"I left you, I hurt you and I broke you," he cupped cheek. "I heard that you only now are starting to live again, and I'm so sorry for doing that to you."
I leaned down to kiss him. The tears were falling from my eyes. It was a deep passionate kiss, and finally, after way to many moments, Sirius gave in and kissed me back. The hand that wasn't on my cheek, ended on my back, pushing me even further into him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, bending slightly down to reach him.
After a few minutes I pulled back. "Don't ever be sorry for that. The fact that I ever doubted you was even worse."
"Remus," he said, shaking his head lightly. He was trying very hard to act normal, but the haunted look in his eyes did not go away. "Of course you doubted me. You had every right to do that."
He kissed me again, that one more rough than the first. He kissed me like I was his life support, and maybe I was. Just like he was mine. I pulled away, just a tiny bit, and whispered into his ear. "I've missed you so much, Padfoot."
"Moony, my love, I've have missed you too." he whispered. "So much."
