The last time we met, you were left in the midst of quite the intense scene, were you not? I think, perhaps, that it is time to continue our story. What do you say? Should we delve back in? Yes? Hurry up, eh? That's right, I hear your thoughts, reader. I know you want me to shut up, so you can continue the story, and I will do so in just a moment. First, I'll tell you my name. What? You already know it? No, I'm not TigritaLandine67, and no, I'm not the girl whose username that is. I'm the one who gave her the story. My name is Lucian. My name is Latin for "bringer of light" and you'll see why later on. For now, let us delve back into the scene where we left off.
Slender nodded, his tendrils of shadow wrapping gently around Liu to keep him still as Slender recited a spell of some sort that sounded like Latin or some other archaic language. Liu's screams faded and he slumped in Slender's shadowy tentacles. He was placed gently back on his bed, and Louissa was asked to heal Laughing Jack, Dark Link, and Jeff.
Louissa did as she was asked, moving to each in turn, her voice never fading as she did so, and running a gentle finger over their injuries until they were completely healed, "Better?" Each of the trio thanked her in turn.
"Right," Slender said, sounding exhausted, "I want you all back in bed. Faith, you may stay with Liu if you wish, but if anything more happens, come and get me." With that, he turned and left, Laughing Jack, Dark Link, and Jeff following.
She shut the door after everyone left and sat on the bed next to Liu, playing with his hair gently and whispered, "Oh, Liu, I hope you're alright. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."
Liu began mumbling in his sleep, so Louissa stopped, staying still so as not to wake him, and he quieted back down. She laid down beside him, and watched him sleep. He whimpered and began shivering in his sleep as if he were cold, so Louissa pulled the blankets over him and he stopped shivering, peacefully asleep. Louissa was too worried about Liu to fall asleep, but Liu was alright.
Eventually, she did fall asleep cuddled up to Liu, hugging him tightly. She woke up to see Liu smiling at her.
"Good morning, Love," she smiled, then, remembering last night's events, "How are you feeling?"
"Morning, beautiful," he smiled, "I'm fine, why?" He looked at her blankly, not understanding why she looked so worried.
Liu must not know about the attacks, and if no one has told him, then someone might want it to stay that way, so Louissa told him that he had a really bad nightmare, "You were screaming and thrashing around in your sleep."
"Really?" he confirmed her suspicion that he had no idea, "I don't remember having any nightmares..."
"Yeah," she replied, explaining that he had woken up a few of the others after her powers didn't work.
"Who did I wake up?" his face was unreadable.
"Jeff, Laughing Jack, and Dark Link," Louissa answered.
"What did they do?" he questioned with no emotion that was detectible.
"I didn't hurt them," he paused, his face showing worried fear, "Did I?"
"No, they're fine," she lied, although, they are fine. She couldn't tell him that he had hurt them. She couldn't because she could tell by the look on his face that he'd never forgive himself.
Liu sighed with relief, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he'd hurt his friends, and his brother. He needs to protect Jeff, and it's hard enough with Sully inside his head, wanting to kill Jeff.
"Good," he said after a few moments, "Let's go down to breakfast." He took Louissa's hand, kissing it and leading her down to breakfast, "Love you, Angel."
