Chapter 3 - The Start of Something Amazing?

          I believe I left you with a rather interesting cliffhanger involving a hurt Liu. In fact, I know I did, but what I did not do was allow you to see into Louissa's head during this particular event. Let me explain her thoughts and feelings to you before I continue telling you her story.

At the moment, Louissa has a crush on Liu. Of course, she knew that a relationship with him will never happen, but a girl can dream, can't she? Naturally, when she saw Liu being carried by his younger brother, Jeff, she was instantly hit with worry and fear mixed with dread and hope that he isn't dead. Upon instinct, she ran over to them and asked Jeff what happened, but with Jeff not being familiar with this new girl, he asked who she was. She answered that her name was Louissa and that she was new.

Looking at Liu, worry furrowing her brow, she asked, "What happened?"

"He's hurt bad," Jeff replied, "Some of Zalgo's guys cornered us on the way home. Liu was trying to protect me, the idiot. He was hit with one of BEN's attacks."

Louissa had to take a breath to calm herself because she knew the extent of BEN's powers due to working alongside him, "Which attack did BEN use. I can heal some of them, combatting the attacks."

"Don't worry about it," Louissa could tell that Jeff didn't trust her, "Slender will help him."

"Depending on the attack that BEN used, there might not be enough time left," she insisted, her worry growing, "Jeff, I know how BEN's attacks work." Tears welled up in her eyes.

Liu groaned in Jeff's arms. He opened his eyes and smiled at Louissa weakly, "Hey ... Louissa."

Louissa turned her watery gaze to him, a tear escaping down her cheek, "Hi, Liu." She smiled sadly at him.

Liu frowned, "Hey ... come on, ... don't cry."

She wiped her tears quickly with a half hearted laugh, "Are you in pain, Liu?" She placed a hand on his cheek, tears welling up again, "Is there any way I can help?"

"It was BEN's dark energy ball," Jeff cut in.

Hearing that, she gasped, "That one leaves you very little time to act. I can heal it, but I've only ever done it once. We have to act fast."

"I'm taking him to Slender," Jeff said and turned to walk away, but stopped when Liu started to spasm, his body jerking uncontrollably, caising Jeff to drop him. "What's happening?!"

Instead of answering, Louissa sang the combat song, her voice rising and falling with each note. She walked to Liu, her voice still going strong, and hovered a hand over his fore head.

Gradually, Liu stopped seizing and the color drained back into his face. He opened his vivid green eyes and stared at Louissa with an unreadable expression. He motioned his hand for her to come closer and she obliged. He placed a hand on each side of her face and pulled her into a passionate kiss.

Louissa's heart did backflips and her stomach was filled with butterflies. The boy she's been pining after for a day just kissed her! She could squeal.

He pulled away and whispered into her ear, "Thank you."

The feeling of his warm breath on her neck sent shivers down her spine, "You're welcome, Liu."

He stood, pulling her with him and hugged her tightly.

"What's going on?" Slender walked into the room, "Why all the noise?"
