Luke
We all watch her as people around the table begin to chatter about this girl.
"She hates you, Irwin" A brunette girl, Stella says to Ashton as he shakes his head in disagreement.
"She doesn't hate me" Ashton states as if it's fact and Cindy scoffs at him.
"Faith may be a prude but she would fuck Luke before even considering forgiving you" Stella has a smile on her face, knowing she's right.
I laugh at her statement "That is very true" taking it lightly.
"Is that a challenge?" Ashton's ears perk up at his own idea. "No way, you're not playing with a girl like her" I tell him straight forward, already knowing what he's thinking as he's done this numerous times.
"Oh, don't you worry mate. You and her will be playing on field soon and I'll be front row" Ashton says to me and I brush him off. He's always saying stupid shit.
He wouldn't do something like that to his former best friend anyway. They had a connection as best friends and I know he'd never forget that.
I look to her, she's too soft to play with. She couldn't even get a handle on the book without help.
I look away as her eyes slowly drift from her book to around the room.
She looks more innocent than the modern twelve year olds. She's probably never done much- never experienced life.
She seems less interesting than the politics in 2012 and those were pretty boring since the whole thing revolved around Obama as everybody expected.
Anyways, she seems so boring. Or at least, she isn't exactly the 'life of the party'.
I don't know how Ashton was ever friends with her, honestly. He's so out there and she just keeps to herself. They're just so different.
The most interesting thing about her is her choice of books and her name.
Faith.
I enjoyed the sound of her name. Only because there has to be some type of meaning behind it.
I finish most of the food that's on my tray and the bell rings, signalling that classes are starting.
I grab my belongings and head to my next class.
