Jacob pulled up to his home a few minutes later, and walked inside.

Only to be greeted by a football hitting him in the face.

"EY! Would you be more careful with your crap Connor?" Jacob said as he held a hand over his bruised nose. "Maybe someday.. but that day isn't today." They glared at each other for a second before Connor retreated to his room upstairs.

Jacob slung his bag beside the couch, sat down, and turned on the TV to watch the newest episode of his favorite show, Game of Thrones. Just as he was about to get up to get a can of Mountain Dew from the fridge, he heard his phone start to go off like crazy in his bag.

D: Jacob

D: Jacob

D: Please

D: Help me

D: Neighbors

J: Yeah I saw that on my way home after dropping you off. What's so bad about them? They do live 4 houses down.

D: My mom wants me to go with her to greet them.

J: Do they have anyone our age?

D: Yeah... they have a daughter that's 16 and who will be going to our school.

J: Yikes. I can come pick you up if you want.

D: My mom says I still have to say hi..

J: Well.. Uh... Good luck with that

D: ...

D: Thanks for that

J: No problem :D

He didn't get a response after that.

Not that he thought he would anyways.

Dylan's POV

My mom knocked on the door of our new neighbor's house. A few moments later, a girl slightly shorter than me with bright red hair opened the door. "Hi, how are you? We live about 4 houses down and wanted to come greet you to the neighborhood!" My mom exclaimed. "Oh, that's really nice of you guys! Come in!" The girl said. "Mom! Dad! We have a visitor here to greet us to the neighborhood!" She yelled up the flight of stairs. "Coming!" Said a man's voice from upstairs. "Hello! I'm Mrs. Smith, and this is my husband Mr. Smith." An older lady said as her and her husband came down the steps and into the living room. "And I'm Rachel." The girl with red hair said. "Nice to meet you!" His mom said shaking their hands. "I'm Mrs. Pritz and this is my son Dylan." I glanced over at them and waved shortly before returning my vision to anywhere else. "So Rachel, how old are you?" My mom asked. " I'm 16. I'll be starting 11th grade here tomorrow." She said sounding slightly irritated. "My son Dylan is in the 11th grade too! Maybe he can show you around school!" I looked down at my lap. 'Mom can you please stop so we can just go home?' I thought. "That would be fantastic!" Mrs. Smith said before Rachel had a chance to even open her mouth. "That's great!" My mom said. "Well, we should probably get going and let you guys finish unpacking your stuff." 'Thank you' I thought as I stood up and walked to the door, my mom behind me. "It was lovely meeting you!" Mrs. smith said as they walked out the front door of the house "You too! Goodbye!" My mom said. At least I'm pretty sure that's what she said.. I was already at the next house over trying to get away from there as soon as physically possible.

AN:  Sorry it's been so long.. I keep forgetting I still have a book to write. Anyways, there's that. Adios for now!
