After a while, Madeline Scott finally pulled into the parking lot of NYU. Unconnecting the auxiliary cord from her phone, she plugged in her ear buds, placed them in each ear; left in left, right in right, and went to find her dorm, parking her car on the way.

It was quite a walk to the front of the school, so she stuck her hands in her pocket and kept listening to music. The ear buds she has completely enables her from hearing anything else that's going on around her, so exactly how she liked it.

As soon as she steeped into the building, the cold air blew jk her face. Since it was September, it hadn't gotten to the point where you needed a jacket yet. The last few days left of summer were still bearing heat, and the people of New York couldn't get enough of it

Taking her ear buds out, she walked up to the desk, hitting her hand on the little call bell, making an echoing ding. After three seconds, she did it again. Still no one showed up. She then started hitting it repeatedly, but into a rhythm. Making a little song out of it, she started dancing around the bell, still making it ding, over and over again. Maddie then started to beat box, seeing as no one was showing up.

By the time she was out of breath, she fell over in laughter, amusing herself was one of the funniest things ever. Too bad no one else gets to see it.

"Ahem."

Okay, maybe someone did see it.

She suddenly turned crimson as she got herself our of the floor, turning to see a plump woman with a toad-like face. Her tag read Dolores U. Let's just say, she did not look amused in the slightest.

"May I ask you to not play with the call bell," she said, but instead of it sounding like a question it sounded like a command. Madeline could already tell that she was not going to like her.

"Sorry ma'am, I get carried away often."

"Well, if you want to be in this school, you will learn to behave and act like an adult. Not some silly little kid."

"Well I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you while you were trying to take away Dumbledore's job," as soon as she said it, she could feel the adrenaline start to rush. What the hell had she just said?

"What?"

"Have you never heard of Harry Potter? Sheesh..."

"Ok, you little brat, will you just tell me what you came for?"

"Oh I know you didn't just call me a brat. Nope, I must be imagining it. Because, if you did call me a brat, which I must be hearing things, then you will sincerely regret it," Maddie replied, shaking her head the whole time disbelievingly.

"Oh, I did. Now, what did you come for?"

"I promise you, you will regret it. Now can you just tell me where to find the dorm for Madeline Scott, she's supposed to be here today and I'm her cousin. I wanted to check in and help her unpack everything." Now Maddie knew lying was wrong, but she won't give this old witch the satisfaction of knowing her name. She may use it against her later. Especially if she's anything like Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter.

"Don't you talk to me like that! What happened to treat your elderly with respect?"

"The same thing that happened to Hitler, it's dead. Now give me the damn dorm room number."

"You ungrateful child. It's dorm 394," it answered.

Without giving thanks to the old hag, Maddie just marched away.

Making her way out to her car once again, she put her ear buds in, hitting play on her music. This time it was music that was on her phone, and immediately Wrapped Around Your Finger by 5SOS came on. She smiled almost instantly because this wasn't only her favorite song, but also one of Michael Clifford's.
