After Jay and Nya split up Jays high spirit and jokes felt more artificial. He still joked but it wasn't the same. He felt empty. Like he needed something to feel the void in his electric heat.
Kai thought he'd feel less worried about his sister now that the two were over but he was wrong. He thought that he would stop seeing the loving look in Jays eyes, or his joking banter towards her. What he didn't know was that the looks and jokes were for him.
Jays P.O.V.
'Why is he glaring at me when I look at him?'
Kai was giving Jay evil eyes as Jay made jokes or even eye contact! It was so confusing.
'He can't be this dumb. Can he?' Jay just wanted Kai to say something. Anything. And all he did was glare holes through Jay's head.
"S-so, why'd the boy eat his test?" Asked Jay. "Cause his teacher said it was a piece of cake!" He did a little chuckle and slumped in his chair. "Fine. You know what, I give up up you!" Kai still glared. "What? Your not going to say anything? Not even a 'you're so funny Jay' not even a 'shut up?' Kai said nothing. "Gah, you're such an oblivious hothead!" And with that Jay walked out of the room.
Kai's fingertips lit up with tiny flames. 'How am I the oblivious one?!' He thought.
Jay was outside sitting in the grass and flicking lighting at it, slowly burning down each little blade of the green plant. "Jeez Jay, you really screwed up in there. But hey don't blame yourself. Kai just can't take a hint, or pickup line, or anything! Was I not clear enough?!"
Jay laid down on the grass and sighed. "That, or he hates you." He closed his eyes and tried to clear his mind. "I'll just have to get over his deep eyes, and brown hair, and how his voice sounds in the morning at breakfs- nope Jay. Done!"
He heard soft footsteps in the grass and a voice almost sounding like, Kai. "Jay I thought-"
"Wow I really am love-struck. I'm hearing his voi-" Jay felt a pair of lips on his and opened his eyes to see Kai on the grass next to him kissing him passionately. Jay closed his eyes and gingerly rolled on top of the fire ninja. Kai smirked in between the kiss.
They then heard a giggle and saw Nya holding her phone laughing. "Bout time!" She yelled and ran off leaving the two ninjas confused.
"So um-" Started Jay.
"Shut up and kiss me again." Kai smirked. Leaving them to forget about the photo.
