I braised myself and sat back in my chair, holding onto the cold metal seat handles tightly. I was excited but I hated flying especially when I had a kid about eight-ish sighting behind me kicking my chair every ten seconds...

"Oh my god, I'm so excited I can't wait to see them, oh I hope they still like us!" Ash said squeezing my hand until it went pure white.

I swear she was way too excited, I mean planes scare me to death! Turbulence made me feel sick, I always funnily got the dropping feeling on roller coasters and pretty much anything that dropped.

"Ouch, jeez let me go" I said, Ash let go and pouted.

She was like a little kid at Christmas.

I was excited but not Ash excited...

"So when we get there Jess has a camper van, I can't wait to go travelling in it!" Ash said too excited for my liking.

I just laughed it of and agreed in the end.

"Yeah I can't wait either, but you need to calm down a tad..." I said the plane starting to move up the run way.

My teeth gritted together, the nerves got the better of me, I let out a quiet squeal and sat back with my eyes closed...

This was going to be one hell of a long flight...

I remained silent for the time being until the plane had reach a decent height, I let go of the handles, I was holding them so tight I'm surprised they didn't break of!

"Hi there, would you like a complementary drink and snack?" A flight attendant asked with a massive grin on her face.

"Yeah can I get a cola, and what would you like Charlie?" Ash asked smiling.

"Ermm yeah a cola too, and just salted crisps, thanks" I smiled.

She handed us the cola and crisps and moved on to the next passengers, jeez where they always that cheery.

*bing* " hello this is your pilot speaking sit back and relax and enjoy the flight!" The pilot said through the speaker.

The flight felt like days, eventually when we came to a landing in California, I stood up, grabbed my luggage and headed straight for the doors, I bloody hated flying...

"Charlie wait up, your pacing away there" Ash said hurrying up to catch me.

I wasn't for waiting around, I bumped into pretty much every chair there was, I was definitely getting a bruise on each side, I didn't care though.

I eventually reached the door and headed out.

"Thank you for flying with us" one of the cabin crew said behind me, I was to fast, I sped out that door like something was chasing me....

When I got outside I calmed down and started to breath in and out, and think about happy thoughts and how I made it alive...

"God, there you are" Ash said putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Sorry about that, I love flying!" I said sarcastically.

"Yeah I can tell" Ash mumbled looking at the ground.

"Right ok let's head over here and get our suit cases from the wheel thing" Ash said taking the lead.

I followed her into the giant airport, Jess was supposed to be waiting with Lily outside for us, they where our friends that we met at school as kids, Jess moved to California first and Lily followed, they've always had a strong bond I guess, just like me and Ash.

We waited patiently on the wheel with our luggage, I tied a little tartan ribbon around the top of mine to show it was definitely my case, because what if someone had the same case? No way to tell the difference.
