#40 You "Hate Each Other" But Are Secretly in Love




Niall: Due to the fact that the fans would get outrageously jealous of any of his female friends, you and Niall had decided to pretend that you hated each other. Since you had been friends with Liam for years, no one really thought anything of it at first when you started showing up at shows and in the background of many pictures and videos. The fans did notice the attitude that you took towards each other all of the time. Obviously, to all of them, you hated each other, but surprisingly, in the end, mostly everyone was actually shipping the two of you together because opposites attract and you two were like magnets.





















Zayn: There was no need to pretend to hate each other when your bands met for the first time. The management teams had decided that it would be nice to create a bit of a rivalry between your band and One Direction, but the moment that you met him, it was hate at first sight. There was just something about him that set you off and he was the same way. Zayn Malik. The very name made your stomach clench. After a while, everyone was getting tired of it; no one was sure why you hated each other anymore. So the bosses set up a private meeting for the two of you, meaning that they locked you in a room together. "I hate you so much. You're so cocky and think you're better than everyone just because you're hot!" You shouted at him. "I don't think I'm better than everyone! You do, Y/N! You're the one that always has the stories written about you going into places and expecting special treatment!" "Fuck you, Zayn!" You shoved him back against the wall as you walked over to the door, but before you could get far, he grabbed your wrists, pushing you to the wall. "I will if you want me to." And then he kissed you.





















Liam: "Just because I said that once does not make me an idiot, buttface!" You were arguing with your best friend's younger brother who happen to be Liam Payne. You'd only met her a few months before and since then you'd met him only a handful of times. He was your age, undeniably attractive, and he was world famous for his astounding singing skills. Right away, you'd felt the thrumming of your heart shift when he walked in the room and that night he kissed you for the first time. You didn't want Ruth to know that you were developing feelings for her younger brother and slightly more, so you and him decided that when you were around her together, you would hate each other. It wasn't that often that that happened, so you it worked for a while, until one day when the two of you were actually fighting about something and it carried over into her presence. "Oh my God!" She groaned eventually. "Why don't the two of you just go get married! You're like an old married couple already." She folded her arms in front of her chest and you couldn't hold back the laughter, that soon spilled out as the truth that you two had been secretly dating for several weeks.






















Louis: At all times you two were to be kept on opposite sides of the bus. Or even in completely different buses if that was possible. The two of you were notorious for the pranks that you played on each other that would accidentally drag a dozen other people into it; not everyone would come out unscathed. But the truth was that although it seemed like you hated each other to everyone else, the two of you were head over heels for each other. After the prank would occur, you two would always make up by meeting in the bowels of the backstage area or in the bathroom of the creepy rest stop, and then make out. It was the perfect relationship to you both but to everyone else you were both a public nuisance.
















Harry: Now we're talking Harry Styles here, the man made up of cute kittens or just plain sex, to have him hate you was quite the accomplishment in much of the world's eyes. They'd watched as your romance had quickly sprouted and bloomed into a beautiful flower before it caught on fire and turned to ashes on the ground. After the break up, there was nothing but animosity between the two of you. He would tell terrible stories about you in interviews and on twitter, people were shocked and wanted to know what you'd done to him but that was the one thing that he would never tell. And all of that was one sided either. You blamed and pointed fingers, hurling insults over the internet, but you never told anyone about the reasoning behind the split either. Somewhere in all of the insulting and story telling that happened, a little phoenix started to rise from the ashes, the possibility of rekindling your relationship. Secretly, you both nurtured the old relationship to new life, still insulting each other when you hit bumps in the rocky road to recovery. But then, you were back together, still in love, and everyone was shocked when you admitted that you'd been back together for about half of the time that the fiery insults had been firing.
