The drive was long. Amy was sitting at the front of the car. Steve was driving. She could hear giggles of Trisha and Sid from the back.
They talk too much. Amy thought. She turned back and looked beside her. And Steve looks so freaking hot.
With this thought, she laughed.
"What happened?", Steve asked her, who was waiting to break the silence and start a conversation with Amy.
"No. Nothing. I just remembered something funny.", Amy said. Such a klutz. "Steve?", Amy asked.
"Yes, Amy.", Steve replied.
"You said there were gonn' be nine of us. Where are the others?"
"They are in another car. It's probably halfway there."
"So, where is this farmhouse?", Amy asked.
"It's my grandparents' farmhouse. Up in the Riber' Hills. It's rad. I got it after my gran' died.", Sid replied from the back, "there's an awesome view up there and it's cold. Very cold."
"How much more time?", Amy asked.
"An hour to reach the junction at the hill. And half an hour more up after that.", Sid replied.
"Junction?",Amy asked.
"Do you know anything at all?", Trisha said, laughing.
"Cut her some slack.",Steve said,"There was an old train junction there. But something happened and it closed. And also because it's inconvenient. Snow is knee deep there, sometimes."
Half an hour later, they were starting to climb uphill. The road went round and round. Amy could see the RiberburryFarmhouse now. It was located in a big area.
"Look guys, that's the Riberburry Farmhouse. It's deserted now.", Sid pointed them.
They moved past the farmhouse.
"And this is the lover's point.",Sid said,"Wait, look!"
"What?", Trisha asked.
"Isn't that Adiana Tidworth?", Steve said, pointing to a girl standing
"Adiana, who?", Trisha asked.
"The hot cheerleader. From the junior class.", Sid said.
"Hot?! My foot.",Trisha said.
"I remember her. Yeah yeah. That Cathy, who died, she walked around with her.",Steve said, slowing the car,"She's with a guy."
"Yeah, that's Seth Dickinson. He is her boyfriend.",Sid said, "they're probably here to make out."
"Make out?", Amy asked.
"Oh my god, Amy, you don't know what 'make out' is?", Trisha teased.
"I know. But I didn't know about this place.", Amy said.
How can I? Boys barely noticed me till now.
