Chapter 2

Luke's pov

I slowly pull my jacket over my arms and zip it up covering the bruises and cuts before walking into the bathroom mad fishing my hair. Then throwing the hood over my head as I start to put on eyeliner and a tiny bit of mascara before I blink into the mirror smiling slightly as my eyes pop out. As I walk out I grab my backpack and phone and plug in my earbuds.

I hurry down the stairs knowing my fathers still asleep as I walk out of the door and shut it before starting to walk down the sidewalk up to the school not bothering to wait for the bus. I hunch my back and look at my shoes as I walk placing my hands in my jacket pocket.

(( time skip cuz he's walking ))

I look up blinking my eyes slowly as I see the large highschool Infront of me. I slowly start to walk down the path not realizing I was singing (( song is "I swear this time I mean it" by mayday parade)) "so I'll sing a melody and hope to god she's listening sleeping softly while I sing and I'll be your memories your lullaby for all the times hopping that my voice could get it right...."

I sang softly before I look around seeing that most of the girls were staring at me along with some of the guys. I started to shake before I took off running trying to find the office. Stopping Infront of it I took a few deep breaths before walking in. "Hello young sir how may I help you?" A young man in his well 20s asked me. I looks up at him and shakily spoke "I-I-I'm......a.....n-n-new.....student..." I choke out before looking down at my shoes as I shuffle them.

"Oh nice to meet you mr.taylor!" He said kindly sticking out his hand for me to shake but I just continued to shuffle my feet not looking up. He coughed and brought his hand back and smiled again And walked off coming back with a slip of paper "here's your schedule and the classes you requested along with your locker code. I'll also call someone up to show you around."

I nodded nervously and hugged myself not ready to meet anyone after what had just happened. "Can we have Jane hawkworth report to the principles office Jane hawkworth." I shacked slightly when I heard her name and looked down at my shoes as I heard the door open and a girl voice speak. "What is it now principle Joseph?" She asked annoyed slightly. "I'd like you to show mr.taylor around" he said as he gestured to me.

I looked up at her and gave a little wave blinking my eyes softly. She smiled brightly at me and nodded to him before grabbing my hand causing me to blush as she walked out of the office turning the corner before letting go of my hand. "I'm Jane" she said softly. I smiled a tiny bit "I-I'm.....l...l-Luke" I whisper quietly.

"Nice to meet you Luke....I heard you singing.." She smirked and grabbed my locker number and code and started to walk. I looked at her shocked before running to catch up to her "...y...you did..?" I asked blushing and frowning at the same time "yup and I'd like you to be the lead singer in my band" she said as she came to a stop as I looked at her my mouth gapping open "really..?"

I asked in surprise "yes really.." She giggled and started to open my locker before handing me the heavy books as I slowly placed them in my back pack before throwing it over my shoulder. "B-but I barley know you" I state looking around the empty hall. "I know but you seem pretty cool and I love making knew friends!" She said smiling before tuning back to me. Before she started to show him around.

(( time skip to the end of the day))

Jane smiled "this is the end of our little tour!" She giggled and looked at me with a huge smile "you cute!" She giggled again I frowned slightly as she smiled brightly at me my brows furrowing "Im-" I frowned more but looked surprised as she cut me off "Gay?" She asked still smiling down at me "don't worry I won't tell anyone...now band practice is around 4:30 at my house here's the address"

I nodded taking the address from her that she had wrote neatly on a slip of paper and smiling "thanks...f....for being my friend" she chuckles "no prob...now I gotta go get stuff set up I'll see you there!" She stated before running off down the hall.

I smile and put the slip of paper in my pocket and start to walk off as the bell rings. I let out a Yelp as I fall to the ground on my butt as my things go everywhere as I look up to see a muscular handsome teenager by the looks of him a year or so older then me maybe as he looked down at me blinking as he realized what had happened. We continued to stare into each other's eyes before his buddies come over and I slowly back up against the wall as they advance on me
