Ok, so we can do metallic text on Pixlr, but there aren't that many fonts. To fix this problem, you need the app "Phonto".
End Result (but we're only learning how to do that text today):
1. Go to Phonto and open up a plain black image.
2. Type your text and choose what font you'd like. You can download fonts form dafont.com or 1001freefonts.com for more font options! I used the font "Prince Valiant" here.
3. I then send the image via email to myself so that I can open it on my laptop (Phonto is on my iPad).
4. Go to "file" and "open image" on Pixlr Editor (the image isn't opened in the picture below)
5. Now, go to the wand tool (the one with the little red spark at the end, top left of tool bar) and start clicking on the white text. Tips: don't forget to press "shift" as you do this, so that you can select all the letters at the same time. Also, if you mess up and accidentally select the entire image (which I accidentally do all the time), go to the "history" bar (bottom right) and click on the "wand tool" history right before to take you back to the previous step.
6. Now that you have selected everything, press "command C" (I'm on a mac, but basically, you need to copy it).
7. Go to your banner and paste it ("command V" for any mac users out there).
8. Then bevel it as shown in the previous tutorial!
Other stuff:
Someone asked me how to make the text gold, so quick tutorial on that:
1. Do the same as previously, but make the text gold in color.
Ok, so I started off with white text here and adjusted the coloring, but it would be much easier if you typed your text as gold in Phonto before transferring to Pixlr. The font here is "Foglihted No. 7" :)
2. Go to the bevel settings and adjust.
Ta-da! Gold text. You can do this with basically any color as well.
Blue-purple text:
As always, don't be afraid to ask questions! :)
