1. Create your background. I just mixed a few textures together using the soft light blend mode.

2. Add the text. I used the font Bebas Neue (can be found on dafont.com). Then, I used the guides (the bright blue line things, can be found underneath the "view" button in the uppermost bar) to help me draw in the various spikes.

3. Add the texture. I used a grunge texture by darkrose42 and added a gradient and the flecks of red and black.

4. Add the text effects. I just used bevel and drop shadow for the text.

5. Add the elements. I added a hole into the "&" symbol, added the arrow and used a soft brush on a layer mask to make it look like it's going into the hole and behind the "O" and added antlers.

6. Make it sparkly. I used a lens flare and then created a new layer, added a dot on it with a soft brush, and turned that second layer to the overlay blend mode so that the lens flare seems brighter.

7. Add sparks and text effects to the author name/subtitle. I added bevel, drop shadow, and gradient overlay to the text. And you're done!
