Angel's P.O.V
My gaze sweeps across the room, assessing the interior. The walls were painted an antique rose, a blood red carpet covering the floor. A canopy bed stood in one corner, a walk in closet in another. There was another door which I assumed led to the bathroom, but was barely noticeable with all the paintings. "Chevaliers are sure treated like royalty," I thought.
"Welcome to my humble abode," said a silky British accented voice.
I turn towards the voice.
Standing near the window was a beautiful lady. Her red hair looked like fire in the light. She took slow, confident steps towards us, a regal and refined air around her, until she was standing in front of me. I tilt my head upwards, and I nearly flinch when I look into her almost white, lifeless eyes. "She is blind," Dylan's voice echoed in my head.
"Angel," she says cordially.
"Kayla," I respond.
"Do you know why you're here?"
I shake my head.
She smiles and turns to Raven and Dylan,"leave us."
They nod and exit.
"Come with me."
She walks to one of the larger paintings, and moves it aside. She places her palm on the wall, and light moves outwards from it, and the wall disappears, creating a rectangular opening. She signals to me to follow, before disappearing into the hole.
I follow her through the dimly lit passage, until we reach a large room.
"This is my haven," she murmurs, her voice filled with warmth.
The place was filled with books that looked like they came from the past. Paintings and hanging plants adorned the walls and in the center of the room were groups of cushions and sofas. Five chandeliers illuminated the room.
"I loved books ever since I was a child, before I became blind," she says, breaking the silence.
I snap out of my reverie and looks at her in surprise," before you became blind?"
She smiles sadly and sat down in one of the sofas. I sat beside her.
"Yes. You see, the Chevalier is the highest position you can earn. Now, there are stories that say if you prove yourself worthy, you can control one of the five elements. But there's a catch. To wield one of these elements, you must give up a part of yourself. I gave up my sight for my power."
As she says this, she lifts up her hand. Soil from some of the hanging pots floats into it.
"Earth," I say in awe, my eyes fixated on her outstretched hand.
She nods, and with a flick of her wrist, the soil floats back into their containers.
"Now, I didn't bring you here to talk about me, but to talk about you."
"Me?" I ask in confusion.
"Yes, for you are one of a kind Angel. You are a human, yet you contain the nova crystal. When the nova crystal was created, it was supposed to possess great powers. However, when implemented in a human's body, it combusted, which led to the creation of the Nasod. But here you are, a living example of the impossible.
I remain silent, allowing all of the information to sink in.
"So, you're saying that I'm not supposed to be alive?"
"In a way. You were discovered in an Akuri lab, so it's possible that they altered your body. The reason you are here is that Akumu may be after you, so as of tomorrow, I'll teach you how to fight."
"Now that is all cleared up, I must get back to my room, to discuss something with Dr.Keil, but you are welcome to stay here."
With that said, she got up and made her way to the passage, leaving me behind.
I get up, and pick a book off the shelf. I settled on one of the cushions and began to read.

A/N
I am very sorry for the short/late chapters, for I am very lazy and I have a whole bunch of chores. Some author I'd make 😅.
On a different note, is anyone else excited about Olympics, and if so, could you tell me which event/s you're excited about?
