Kid Icarus - Pit X Viridi

(Spoilers for Kid Icarus Uprising, and the Underworld Army decided to take a break for Valentines Day)

Today was Valentines Day. Palutena and Viridi had hosted a huge party, temporarily suspending the war, and letting their commanders have a good time. The two goddesses even decided to take their human forms and show up to the Valentines Party.

Everything was going great. Viridi was chatting with Palutena and Hades, who had crashed the party, not in person of course. Phosphora was chatting with Viridi's other commanders, after flirting with Pit of course. But Pit had greater plans.

With a beautiful ornate heart in hand, Pit shuffled over to Viridi, trying not to be spotted. Today was the day he was going to confess to the Goddess of Nature. True, Pit and Viridi always had their differences, but Pit loved Viridi all the same. Today was the day he was finally going to tell her that.

Viridi was standing alone at the drinks table. Perfect.

Pit walked up to Viridi, his heart racing in his chest. When Viridi saw what he was holding, her eyebrows lifted, but she still blushed deeply. Pit handed the heart to Viridi, as she took it and stared at it, then diverted her attention back to Pit.

"Viridi...I like you. I've liked you for awhile now. I know you probably don't like me back, but I love you all the same. I know you're a goddess and I'm a simple angel...but will you go out with me?"

Viridi stood there shocked for a few seconds, but suddenly threw her arms around Pit's shoulders and hugged him tightly.

"I thought you'd never ask, Pit!!!"

Then, the whole room burst into applause for the two. Palutena gave a happy thumbs-up, which Pit happily returned.

And that's how the Angel fell in love with the Goddess~
