"You sure you want to throw it away?", my fiance Drew looked at me with a sad look and I nodded. "Guess I won't need it anymore."
I took the teddybear in my right hand. Oh, I can remember the first time i held this bear in my hand. And right now, all i can feel is the moment. "Or maybe..i can keep it?" And thats what i did. "Wheres the trash?, i asked him. He pointed at the black bin bag in the corner. "Stupid me."
I looked at all the things i threw away. Oh, this is really going to be something. I stand up and looked to Drew. "I'm going to get my post for the last time." After I got engaged Drew and I thought we could finally move in together. All we needed to do was packing all the stuff from my old apartment to transport it to the new one. I couldn't wait to finally move in with him.
I inhaled one last time and took my post. I thought it wouldn't be something imporant until something stands in my eye. It's a letter from my old home town. I was confused. Why would they send me a letter?
I couldn't wait and sat on the ground. With slowly fingers i opended the letter.
It was an invitation for a barbecue for the neighboorhood i have lived in.
Maybe I should go?And I never knew that this barbecue could change so much.
