Lafayette pale body just lying there. Everyone was sobbing. Mulligan got up and pulled out his phone. He called someone. Maddie and Sophia were trying to figure out who he was communicating with. Mulligan walked out of the room. Maddie and Sophia confused. They wiped away some of there tears and got up. There faces red from crying. They walk out of the room. Mulligan finishes the call. He sighs. "The funeral is today". Mulligan slumps down on a wooden bench outside the room Lafayette died in. He looks through the window in the door. He sees Lafayette's body. Lying there helpless. Mulligan starts to cry but holds back. "We will have a brighter future coming our way". Mulligan stutters. "Where's the funeral". Ask Sophia sitting next to him. "Trinity Church". Mulligan replies back to her. "What would you do if he had more, time". Maddie said sitting next to mulligan on the other side."well the lord and his kindness gives him what he always wanted, he gave him more time". Mulligan said. "But how, he died when he was 67". Maddie questioned. "Most people die half has many or even less". Mulligan sighed. "Time, he had time to say goodbye". Mulligan sighed again. "Teach me how to say goodbye". Maddie fell off the bench and started sobbing. Sophia dragged her to the lobby. "I'm not gonna drag you into the car". Sophia said. Maddie slugged up and ran to the car and flopped over. Mulligan got in and so did Sophia. They took a second to realize what just happened. The whole car ride was silent. Until Mulligan said. "Teach me how to say goodbye". Like Maddie said earlier. He said it with pain. Maddie closed her eyes. "Teach me,how to, say, goodbye". She cried. The rest of the ride was quiet.
