Chapter 1

Tyler was certainly getting on my nerves. It's only been two weeks but already i want to shred him to pieces. This guy I would so happily rid myself of is my boss. Oh, did i mention he is a demon? But who am i to judge, being one myself and all? He is tall with dark brown hair and lots of muscle. The perfect amount of muscle to make any girl drool over him. And believe me, they have. Many a time, I have caught myself gazing into his gorgeous chocolate flecked green eyes and mesmerised by his soft pink lips. His smooth complexion and soft looking face gave him a sensitive aura, which didn't really exist. At first i could shrug off Tyler's rude and annoying ways because of his sexy looks. But after spending 2 weeks with him, forget it. In looks he would be about 23 but his actual age is 764. I have only been a demon now for two weeks so my age is the same as my looks, which is 19.

I swiftly take in the surroundings around me. I'm situated in a large room with four large arch windows, one on each of the side walls and one large wall containing two more windows. The sunlight spreads it's way along the polished floorboards to meet in the centre of the room. The few pieces of furniture around the room were covered in white cloths and threw daunting shadows across the room. It would be a nice room if not for the eery silence and creepy atmosphere.

"What are we doing here, Tyler?" my voice breaking the silence and throwing an echo into the room.

"This is our new training ground. You were getting good at the old one so you have moved up a level. Oh, and Alane, I do believe you will ease your way through this new training program I have going for you. So don't worry!" He smiles and my heart melts. No, you hate this guy remember? He makes you work like there's no tomorrow, I tell myself in my head.

"When do I ever worry? You underestimate my strength," I said, making it sound confident and easy. When really it isn't because he still has that gorgeous smile on his handsome face and is walking his way over to me in purpose filled strides. Oh God, what's he up to this...Tyler's arms have snaked themselves around my waist, making me lose my train of thought. I can't help but shiver as he pulls me towards him. I can now feel his chest rising and falling, in calm even breaths. But mine is going on overload and my pulse is so loud I would swear he could hear it.

"Fight me," his orders are running through my mind but my body doesn't respond to them. His voice was too silky and enthralling, as was his thumbs as they rub small soft circles against my lower back. He seductively leaned in and whispered in my ear, "You are not strong enough. What if I had been an, as you say, hot hunter, would you have been able to resist me before I killed you?"

Ok, he had a point there. But I wasn't going to let him go that easy. He was still holding me, which was strange, so I got my breathing and heart rate under control and started a little act of my own. I raised my arms slowly and, what i hope was seductively, wrapped them around his neck. I had the pleasure of feeling him tense before I started rubbing slow circles against his neck. My other hand came up to tangle themselves in his hair. I gave him a sexy smile as he met my gaze with unsure eyes. Reaching up onto my tiptoes I purred in his ear, "Fight me," but he didn't move. "If I had been a hunter, would you still be alive right now?" He still didn't move. I couldn't help it, I laughed. All of a sudden, he disentangled himself from me and walked out the door.

Huh, that wasn't supposed to happen.
