CH.4

After that day of school I skateboarded home like usual.

"Mom I'm home!" I shouted.

"[Achoo] I'm in, in [ACHOO] My room." My mom replied.

I jogged upstairs finding my mom cuddled up in blankets.

"Mom are you okay? What happened?" I asked in confusion.

"Well after you left to school, I didn't fell good. Can you do me a favor and go to pharmacy and pick up my order?"

Wow she hardly let's me go to the mailbox on my own.

"Okay is it under Owens?"

"Yeah hurry up though be safe and I love you." She replied.

I grabbed my board and headed down the street. As I drove past them I heard arguing and car horns. I finally arrived at the pharmacy and walked in. I slowly walked towards the back to pick up my order.

"Hello I'm here to pick up an order under Owens" I said in a sweet quiet voice.

"Here you go have a nice day" she said while handing me the little bag.

As I was about to walk out when I bumped into Katie and sadly Jeff.

"Hey Katie look it's Niki", He said as he pointed at me.

"It's not nice to point!" Katie replied while slapping his hand

SMACK!!!

"Ow what's that for?!?" Jeff asked but he was ignored when Katie hugged me.

"Hey" I chuckled." What are y'all doing here?"

"We could ask you the same thing." Katie and Jeff said at the same time.

"My mom is feeling sick and I needed to pick up her order." I said while waving the bag, "So what are y'all doing here?"

"Well this idiot here", pointing to Jeff, "Wanted to drive way over here just to buy some chips."

"Hey it's not nice to point!" Jeff replied.

I started laughing.

"Well I have to get back home so nice talki-" I said being interrupted by Jeff.

"I, I mean we could drive you home if that's okay with you?"

"Uhh I don't kn-"

*Coughs* "Jeff is desperate" Katie said.

"No I'm not I just wanna help her out!" Jeff replied in embarrassment.

"Okay yall can drive me home If it makes yall happy." I chuckled.

Well here we are in the car. Jeff is driving, I'm in the passenger seat, and Katie is in the back with her arms crossed. I told him my address and we pulled up in the driveway.

"Thanks guys." I said.

"Do you want me to walk you up to your door?" Jeff questioned.

"No you were enough help thanks anyway." I replied.

I walked up to my door step and waved back at them as they drove away. I unlocked the door with my right hand while holding my board in my left. I went in my mom's room.

"Hey mom I'm back with your prescriptions."

"Oh okay thank you Niki."

"Ima go to bed now, goodnight." I said.

I walked in my room and noticed my calendar. It said that tomorrow is pajama day. Oh shit. I layed out my PJ's for tomorrow. I layed down and ended up falling asleep.

I woke up to my mom shouting,"Get up Niki!!"

     I shot out of my bed and rushed to the restroom.
I brushed my teeth, combed my hair, And put my hair in a bun. I ran in my room to get dressed. I put on a white sleeping shirt, mid-thigh sleeping shorts, and my combat boots. Just when I was gonna grab my skateboard I heard a car drive pull up in my driveway. I walked out there and saw Jeff's car. Oh great what now.

  "Jeff?"

  "Hey you ready?" He asked.

"Why did you come here?"

"Well isn't it obvious? I wanna drive you to school." He replied With a smile on his face.

"Uhh okay well let me grab my backpack."
I ran in my room and grabbed my bag.

"Bye mom, my friend is gonna take me to school." I shouted.

I jogged outside and sat in the front.

"Hey"

"Hey"

"Where's Katie?" I asked

"My mom dropped her off at school already." He answered.

After a long silence we arrived at school. I got out and met up with Damon.

"Hey Niki." Damon said.

"Hey"

"Yo you better watch your back cause Brittany's been telling people that she's gonna mess you up."

"Oh okay well I'll be sure to watch out" I replied.

I walked up to my locker and saw Brittany standing there.
Oh great, just perfect.

"Hey Nick" she chuckled.

"What do you want? Did you come here just to threaten me?" 

"No but I'll be meeting up with you later." She walked away smiling.
Whatever I don't need her pity right now.

I walked in the class while Mr. Parmer was in the middle of teaching. Everyone's eyes were on me. I nervously smiled.

"Ms. Owens can you explain your tardiness?" He said with a stern look.

"The hallways were crowded." I explained hoping he would buy my excuse.

"Really? Or were you talking to people?"

"That's none of your business Parmer."

The class along with Mr. Parmer was shocked.

"ooooo Mr. Parmer just got dissed!" Jeff shouted.

I took my seat next to Damon.

Mr. Parmer just continued talking about boring history stuff.

The bell dismissed us to go home. I walked through the back of the school to prevent conversations. When I was walking someone grabbed my wrist. I turned around to see Brittany giving me a dead look. I jerked away from her grip. She grabbed my shirt and slammed me against the brick wall.

I groaned in pain,"What do you want!"

She gritted her teeth,"I want you to stop humiliating me with your big mouth!"

"So your jealous or what?"

"Shut up!" She yelled and threw me on the ground. I got up an punched her little perfect nose that wasn't so perfect anymore. She started screaming ran away.
