"Hello let me get one medium popcorn and a soda. Niki what do you want?" Damon asked.
"I'll just get a soft pretzel." I replied making them face me in confusion.
"That's it?"
"Yeah"
"One soft pretzel. Jeff what do you want?" Damon asked.
"A small popcorn and a hotdog."
"And a small popcorn with a hotdog." Damon told the cashier.
"Your total is $16.71." The cashier said.
I was just about to hand him a twenty when Damon beat me to it.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
He smiled. "I'm not gonna let a girl pay, are you crazy?"
"Well I'm not gonna let you pay for my pretzel."
"It's okay I got it."
"Ima get you back though." I said.
"You don't have to."
"Yes I do."
"Gentlemen don't let women pay when they're together somewhere."
This is gonna sound so stupid.
"Well gentlewoman.. never mind.
We finally found our seats and sat down. We watched the previews.
"Hey Damon."
"Yes?"
"What movie are we watching?" I asked.
"The Hallway."
"Is it a horror movie?"
"Yeah of course. Are you okay with that?"
"Uh yeah I guess." I was totally lying. I hate scary movies.
I looked at Jeff and noticed him checkin out some chic in short shorts coming up the stairs. I punched him to get his attention.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"What uhh nothing." He hesitated. Yeah right Jeff. "You jealous or something?"
"What no. Are you jealous?"
"Of what?"
"I'm talking to Damon more than you." I patted his back. "Its okay, it's okay."
"I'm not jealous." He threw in.
Damon tapped on my shoulder. "Niki the movie's starting."
Oh what a great time to humiliate myself in front of- "AWWWWW!!!! What the hell man. Who makes these kinds of movies!?"
I looked at both of them who were dying of laughter.
"Dude did you see the look on her face?!"
"Yeah"
"Shut up!" I shouted. I was so embarrassed. "I have to use the restroom."
"Oh come on Niki it was just a little scare." Damon said.
"Yeah don't get mad."
I walked to the restroom and sat on the sink top. A little fat girl and her mother walked in. As the girl was walking to a stall she tripped and fell. I tried not to laugh but i couldn't help it and bust out laughing. The mother looked at me.
"I'm so sorry." I said. I walked over to the little girl and grabbed her hands to help her up but her mom pulled her away from me.
"Ugh teenagers these days. So disrespectful." She walked away.
