This is for my wonderful friend, Makala. She wrote me a Phil imagine once which I adore. She also introduced me to Christian Novelli and his videos. I didn't know his perosnality well enough then to write her an imagine, but I hope I've caputured it alright now. I love you, Makala! :D <3

You’re in Starbucks in Seattle, looking out through the window at the magnificent city you’ve just arrived in. It’s raining. Well, it’s Seattle. Go figure. You open the door and it gives a jingle as you slip outside under the green awning. You press your hands to the warm coffee cup and sigh contently. Trees are so green and buildings are so cute. There are people impatiently waiting for the ‘walk’ sign, pulling their hood around their face or trying to find the right position for the umbrellas that escapes all wetness to their person. Business men speed walk and try to make the driest path to their destinations, going in front of stores and under every awning. One man gives a grumble in your direction when he is forced into the rain again to go around you and your shelter.

You’re happily people watching and don’t take notice of a few steps that are coming in your direction.

“Oh, hello.”

Nope. It couldn’t be. You know that voice. You’d know it anywhere. There’s no voice quite as intoxicating as that of…

…Christian Novelli—he’s standing right there, a Seattle native with dark hair, a lip ring, and a ‘grandpa’ sweater.

“My name is Christian and I was wondering if you could do me a little favor. It’s alright if you say no.”

His fringe is damp and you can see what were raindrops glistening on his skin. Somehow you shake your head a little and you are able to focus and answer the guy.

“Oh, hey, I’m Makala. What do you need?”

He smiles and tells you he makes YouTube videos and it would really be great if you could help him out by filming him for just a minute.

“Oh my gosh, I can totally do that,” you say. “I know of you! I watch your videos.”

“Wow, you do? That’s amazing! Wow, of all the random people to ask out here and you’ve watched my videos. Wow, that’s so cool. You’re pretty rad, Makala.”

            You giggle at him.

“Yeah, I’m just as awkward in person so sorry. That’s me. Christian Novelli.” He sighs a little. He’s gotten a little nervous, but you can tell he’s happy.

“No worries at all,” you say. “Tell me what we’re doing and I’m happy to help.”

He does and you do and there are lots of laughs and you like to yell ‘action’ and ‘cut’ which really amuses him. He smiles whenever you do and it take quite a few takes at first for him to not crack up right after “action!” But you both get it done and you hand him the camera back. His fingers touch yours as the object passes hands. Here you are in Seattle, Washington, goofing off and helping one of your favorite people in the world.

“Thank you so much for the help, Makala! You’re amazing. I definitely owe you. You deserve a spaceship or a small polar bear at the very least, but I don’t have those things with me at the moment…” His eyebrows furrow in thought. He really feels the need to express the gratitude.

“I’d love a polar bear, but how about a hug and a selfie?”

He looks up. “Yeah, we can do that, but I’ve still got to think of something else.” He pulls out his phone and brings up the camera app.

“Okay, come here, friend!”

You drapes an arm over your shoulders and you wrap your arm around his waist. It’s just you and Christian, Makala and Christian, holding each other in Seattle. Yeah.

He brings up the phone and you both smile. *snap* Then he makes a silly face. You join in and make one yourself. *snap* His expression changes. Yours does too. *snap* Pretty soon, you’ve taken a bunch of crazy selfies with Christian Novelli.

You both laugh, but then you give him a questioning glance as he hands you his phone. He nods for you to take the device and you see that a new contact has been brought up.

“Add your number and I’ll send you these crazy magnificent pictures,” he says.

So you do. He smiles and takes his phone back and gets to texting you right away. An unknown number pops up on your phone screen and the pictures flood in. It’s not an unknown number anymore. It’s Christian’s.

“Thank you, Christian.” You grin and look at him. He probably doesn’t know how much this means to you.

“Maybe I can text you sometimes when the moon isn’t full or is— it really depends. I don’t know all the details yet,” he says and looks to the ground.

“Please” is all you say.

“Thanks for really helping me out there.”

“I was glad to.”

He waves at you and you wave and turn away. You look down at your phone and a picture of you two is up. Christian has a really excited face on and his mouth is open like he’s yelling “Yeahhh!” Your hair is mixed together your heads are so close and your own face is crinkled with your eyes closed in laughter. It’s probably definitely your favorite.

Suddenly a text notification appears over your noses. ‘Hey, are you doing anything because I’m not and we can go see Seattle if you want. I don’t have a Segway, but there’s a cool zoo and a tower and we can just use our feet to get there. idk’

You turn around and he’s still there. His phone is in his hands and he’s looking at you.

You raise your phone and type. ‘I’m cool with that. Who needs segways?’
